The Tron-style canopy could even go over the path, having people walk underneath it to enter the landyou could bring forward canopy elements from Tron...make it feel more integrated. (View attachment 388073Excuse my quick photoshop)
It hides too much of the land. But interesting idea for sure. Something in that style would be cool.you could bring forward canopy elements from Tron...make it feel more integrated. (View attachment 388073Excuse my quick photoshop)
I wish the Tommorowland movie had been a bazillion dollar blockbuster and they would have built a section of that at WDW. Loved the look of the city. Too bad the movie wasn’t that great.
It actually looks really nice!you could bring forward canopy elements from Tron...make it feel more integrated. (View attachment 388073Excuse my quick photoshop)
I just wish they were actually redoing, rather than repainting. So far a lot of it seems so contradictory, and they're just kinda... painting over things. I love this aesthetic in principle, but a lot of the structures they're doing it with weren't really designed with this type of look in mind.
I also can't figure out what will tie all of this together. So far, none of these designs really seem to complement one another very well.
Cause they’re probably reusing the structure of the signWhy not keep the current sign until the new one is ready to be installed? It just looks odd without anything.
That does look good! Even if they came out a bit to provide some shade, that could work too. It would provide a grand entrance to the land after you exited the canopy's.you could bring forward canopy elements from Tron...make it feel more integrated. That actually looks really good and would certainly make TRON feel like it belongs.you could bring forward canopy elements from Tron...make it feel more integrated. (View attachment 388073Excuse my quick photoshop)
My guess is they are probably cutting away at the current sign until it looks like the new sign. Maybe adding a bit too.Why not keep the current sign until the new one is ready to be installed? It just looks odd without anything.

Both of these would be fantastic. The Tron-style canopy could even go over the path, having people walk underneath it to enter the land
EXACTLY!!! Only thing missing is the water spires... That was not accidental.honestly that canopy is more like how the original tomorrowland looked
I would expect Space Mt to limp along until after the 50th when it will finally get a full track replacement. Hopefully they can keep spot welding the problem areas and not end up with what happened at Disneyland.I like it all individually, but agreed with you. Very much. A coat of paint doesn't really fix anything. They still have a tired Buzz Lightyear, a lackluster Speedway, a PeopleMover in need of a thorough refurb, Carousel needs a thorough refurb, Space Mountain needs a thorough refurb ... Stitch needs an an actual replacement. The garish stage needs to go. Those are things that would improve the land. Removing the 94 elements will also help, but instead they're now painting them go-away-white. They should be removing them. It seems they're trying to get out of doing anything thorough. I'll give them credit for the Cosmic Ray's outdoor seating, that was an improvement.
Beginning was great.. The WAY ending was fabulous... it lost me somewhere in the middle.I really liked 'Tomorrowland'. I agree, the city was a great visual.
It does look odd... I was wondering the same thing...Why not keep the current sign until the new one is ready to be installed? It just looks odd without anything.
