Buzz lightyear came to a surprise this year with its replacement of Sugar rush.

Reason to why Buzz lightyear astroblasters never received an update after its half year closure last year is because the shooting machine technology is apparently d/e/a/d cant be updated . OLC was trying their best to update the attraction and to no success and then WDI came in and proposed the idea of sugar rush, which I heard a defunct project from one of the domestic parks and got a home at Tokyo.

Interesting Development on Empty Theaters sitting id Tokyo DisneySea.

Hangar Stage is making triumphant return soon. (DPA Seating) maybe?

Mermaid Lagoon Theater has closed its waiting area and now udergoing major refurbishement.

The future of entertainment will be fun in the upcoming years and the goal for the future is Guest interaction/fan votes i.e holograms

Agreed. Without it, Mermaid Lagoon is pretty skippable unless you have kids. A unique TLM E-ticket would also do wonders in that old CEP plot, assuming they can reconfigure that space.

Slightly off topic but I know you said theres new seasonal parades in development? Do you know what they will be yet? For seasonal shows I wish TDS would revisit the Mysterious Masquerade and Christmas Wishes stage shows again.

Also any talks yet on other parades? Maybe another Dreamlights update?

Disney Sea is very hard to predict more likely a seasonal harbor greeting show.
but Disneyland is a 100% new parade for halloween

After thinking about it for a while, I think Peter Pan seems to be OLC's answer to Universal's Spiderman ride in USJ. The Peter Pan ride looks like a modern take on that attraction. I guess OLC's turn to cash in on a ride like that while people wait for the USJ redo of that ride.

I believe it was the answer for Super nintendo world and Donkey kong.

Donkey Kong area was supposed to open at the same timeline as Fantasy Springs But USJ decided not to clash with DIsney Due to the scale and the magnitude of Marketing the OLC and WDC is going to put out.


Space Mountain Re-do will be the answer to USJ unannounced Pokemon ride /Jurassic re-do coming to the park.

Aren't the majority of TDR visitors from Kanto? I don't think USJ really matters in the grand scheme of things to their attendance patterns.

Fun fact, Majority maybe from Kanto but people outside of the region are willing to spend more money going to TDR and OLC always pushes the markets around Kansai, Chugoku and Kyushu Region and of course foreign visitors.

One of the reasons why OLC spends so much money on marketing and Doing Nationwide Parades and promotions.
Furthermore OLC and USJ likes to troll at each other by doing mega marketing on opposite major station.

For Example USJ doing the NO LIMIT campaign IN TOKYO Stations Keiyo Line or TDR Doing the Dream-Go-Round campaign in in Shin-Osaka station or participating in Disney Music & fireworks Festival in occired last summer near USJ.

All in all its a friendly competition and its not like they dont like each other. Theyre Just 2 distant relatives.

with perhaps 30+ million inhabiting the megalopolis of the greater Tokyo area I’d say that is a super strong bet

Indeed. According to the guest demographics posted by OLC, approximately 80% of guests were from Kanto in 2021. Pre-pandemic, Kanto was closer to 65% on average with around 10% from overseas and 6-7% from the Kansai region.

Have you heard anything at about this or should it be dismissed as hogwash? It smells like hogwash to me.

im not going to speak about Splash until we see what happens in a few years.

Color me skeptical as well. It seems blasphemous to tear down such a gorgeous facade for no reason.
