To settle my anxiety!

I'm pretty sure that my family/co-workers are completely tired of hearing me talk about my upcoming trip so I'm going to use a pre-trip report to express my excitement. :sohappy: I just finished my last trip report I think last week (late) and am now doing this one (early). I was complaining one day about wanting to go shopping so bad but not having money to do so and my mother said this to me "Well, if you didn't go to Disney every 7 months you would have money to go shopping" :hammer:That is the most absurd concept I have ever heard. And she calls herself a Disney lover. A girl at work keeps asking me why we want to go again this year since we already went and "don't you get bored?" Also another foreign concept. They are speaking languages I don't understand. She also calls it Disneyland which irks me to no end . So anyway I am going to use this pre-trip report to express my frustrations, excitement, and anxiety about my upcoming trip. Feel free to read, or if you aren't interested, you don't have to. I just need to get this out without driving everyone else bonkers :p.

Day 1: Will be departure day. I am getting off of work at noon and that will give me time to get home and get some last minute things together before picking my son up from school at 2:45. My bff is meeting us at my house, so we can take off. We head to St. Louis (about 2 hours away) and plan on eating dinner at one of our faves (The Spaghetti Factory) before checking in to the airport Marriott for the night. My son is a pool freak, so we'll spend a little time there before hitting the sack.

Day 2: Official first day. Our flight departs at 8:30am. We will check in early so we can get some breakfast in the terminal. And wait. Waiting is the worst. Our flight lands in Orlando around 11:50. We are using the Magical Express and hopefully things will go smoothly and we can be to the Wilderness Lodge around 1-2pm. We're going to hang out there for a while, until we go to Epcot for our ADR at Garden Grill.

Day 3: Early breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We're going to get to MK by rope drop and spend the morning there, eating lunch at the glorious Cosmic Ray's. I desperately want to sit in the room by Sonny, as I have never gotten to. After an early ADR at the Biergarten, the evening will be spent at HS for Fantasmic and then EMH at MK.

Day 4: Morning EMH at AK. Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ. This is the only time the whole trip we will be spending there, so we are going to try to do EE like 3 times with a safari, Primeval Whirl, Lion King, and maybe Kali mixed in. This is all we really want to do. Evening will be spent at Epcot, ADR at Le Cellier. Maybe EMH at HS.

Day 5: Morning EMH at Epcot. Lunch at Yorkshire Co. Fish Shop. Dinner ADR is at Ohana. Going to TRY to get to HS to watch the Osborne lights, before going back to MK for MVMCP. We will spend the evening there. (And are so super excited for our first MVMCP!) :xmas:

Day 6: Early ADR for Crystal Palace. Will spend morning at MK, but will sadly have to leave at noon . Our flight back home is at 3:40. We will be back in St. Louis at 4:45.

It is going to be a fairly quick trip, but tons of fun. Free dining made it possible for me to swing the WL which I have dreamed of staying at since I saw it on Great Hotels. (LOVE Samantha Brown!) This trip is a COMPLETE surprise to my 7yo. Not planning on telling him at all, just letting him figure it out when we land in Orlando. Planning on ordering a Mickey cake and something from Disneyflorist to have in our room when we get there, and possibly doing the pirate makeover at MK. I have never been so excited about a vacation! :sohappy:

Sounds fun! And I'm sure everyone around me (including the person going with me) is just as sick of my incessant Disney babbling  When will you be there?

Oh don't worry, it's not just you. My husband is probably sick of hearing me talk about the plan for our December trip everyday every night....
That's a good idea to finish your trip with a half day at MK! We are going to MK on our first day, but we may want to finish our trip w/ MK too... We'll see...

I know! I am so excited! It has always been one of my dreams to go and I finally get to! I'm also hoping that some of the resorts will be getting some decorations up already since the parks will be. I love Christmas and I love Disney. SO nothing could be better than Disney Christmas (unless of course my BF could go :( I'm really bummed that he can't go with us)

Yup! If you look aaround the edge of the place mats, they have all theplaces where they have them. There are Spaghetti Factories all over the US! And yes the spumoni is delicious. So is the spaghetti with mizthra cheese! :slurp: Yum. We will be starting our eating vaca BEFORE we get to Disney

I changed our dining a little bit yesterday. Kept all the ADRs I already had, but added some breakfasts. We're going during free dining, so we're paying for our breakfasts OOP, but breakfast isn't *too* expensive (in Disney terms anyway). I have kept hearing things about Kona Cafe breakfast so booked it on our Day 4. Also booked Whispering Canyon for breakfast on Day 5 since it's right in the resort. Don't know if we'll keep them for sure, but at least we have them! I would love to go, especially since who knows when our next Disney trip will be! Could be only months, could be years!

Sound great, your day 3 meals are some of my favorites. We had not eaten at Cosmic Rays before our 2009 trip! We liked it so much we ate there twice, and sat in the main room and listened to Sony both times.
We just got back from WDW 2 weeks ago, I am saving for our next trip, my son is talking about what he will do when we go back but my DW is saying I want to go someplace else next vacation. When she says this my son says that he should have a father and son trip and mom can go wherever she likes. That’s my boy!

I hit the wall today. 55 days before landing in Disney. It happens everytime pre-vacation, just happened a little earlier this time. There come a time before every vacation where I think "the only thing that will get me through this day is that I will be in Disney in (insert countdown number here) days." Usually it'sonly a month-couple weeks before but today it happened. I blame it on my horribly stressful job of trying to single-handedly keeping the area's most popular doctor's practice afloat (our next available appointment is in January I believe) and dealing with the area's most demanding patients. (And the fact that the Dr. I work for is the only Dr. left in the practice right now until mid-October). Anyway sorry for the rant session. I guess I can be thankful that I have job security...as noone is insane enough to want to do my job . So anyway. 55 days and I will be in Epcot!!! :sohappy:
