Tip: Give Away your Fastpasses!!!

I was at Disneyland last week, and walked into the FastPass distribution area for Indiana Jones. Before I could get to the kiosk, I felt a tap on the shoulder. I turned around and found myself face-to-face with a young Asian woman, who handed me 2 passes for the ride and then walked away without a word. By the time I realized what had happened and managed a "thank you," she was halfway across the bazaar.

The return time on current passes was an hour away, but the two she gave me were good right then. I ended up using one of them, and gave the other one to a guy standing outside looking at the FastPass return times.

We have done this also, since our youngest was just 2 short in height requirements, we would give her ticket away. Then we have also had FP given to us.

to give them though is awesome for me, becasue it allows me to create a magical moment for someone and to know what it feels like for a CM when they get to do it everyday.

on our 2007 trip, we won Dream Passes in AK at about 10am which was great! it was our 3rd trip to AK that vacation, so we were only interested in the big rides.
we left AK and went to DHS about 3pm, when an older couple were leaving with 2 Dream Passes with only GMR missing...made an already great day even better!
to add to it, we got to ToT just as it was re-opening after a fault, got on with no queue, then used our Dream Pass to go on again.
Ahhh....good times....

Last year we bought a DVC and they give you fast passes that are good as soon as you recieve the fast pass. They are only good for that day. We were finishing our day and i walked up to on family and asked them and they told me they didnt want them because their daughter was scared of every ride. So then I asked another couple and the guy said no and the girl said yes. Im like trust me they are good we are leaving. Finally they took them. Then another time we had 2 extra for splash mountain and i gave then to a mother and daughter and they were so happy.

Giving away Fastpasses

We've given fastpasses away a few times when we ended up not needing them. Since their are 5 of us, it's sometimes hard to find someone to give them to. Even harder is having someone offer 5 to us. That has never happened. :( We always look for a family that looks nice, tired, or both! ;)

It was in April of 2006 and I was at AK with my mom and sister and I wanted to ride Expedition Everest. Only my sister and mom didn't want to ride. So, I run over to the fastpass machine and lo and behold they were completly out. :( So, I sit down on the curb and I start bawling because I was going to be the kid who went do WDW for spring break and didn't get to ride EE. And then some little boy who's mom didn't want to go on the ride came over and gave me a fastpass for it, at exactly the time I was there. So, regardless, I gave him a big hug and and really big THANK YOU to the parents! Then, I ran on to EE and had a blast! And to think this one little boy was kind enough to do such a thing. :sohappy:

I always try to return the favor if i recieve a FP from another guest kind of like a pay it forward thing. but sometimes you get people that look at you like your crazy. one thing to do with un used FP is put them in your scrap book provided you couldnt find any one to take them. I have never thought about trading with someone though while trading pins giving them a FP if i feel genourous i may give that a shot.
