Tinkerbell Meet and Greet

Whaaat. That's dumb.

I thought it could be kind of fun to see a Tinkerbell character that has to pantomime all her expressions instead of talking, like she does in the movie (the REAL movie :) ) I mean, I can see that maybe they want them to interact with the kids as much as they can, but then none of the fur characters can talk either. Not to mention there is a whole ton of expressions/emotions that a human face can express without talking as opposed to the character heads that don't move at all.

What the idea probably is with Tink talking is that she CAN talk to others of her own kind, but not to humans. Since its part of this Disney Fairies thing I assume that the Tinkerbell movie is going to be all about her and her little friends. Just a guess?

read somewhere they are thinking of using the old skyway building area for haunted mansion exit and a fantasyland/mansion combined retail location but its years off and only under consideration not close to approved

The Hundred Acre Woods Characters are seen outside Pooh's Playground. Yes, one line used to be Princesses, one pals and one Pooh. But that has long since changed.

I didn't know about the Hundred Acre Wood s gang moving but I was saying there are 3 PALS rooms

Uh, no, there are 3 rooms where characters do meet and greets in toon town, but two of them are princess rooms, and only ONE of the rooms is used to meet Donald, Goofy, and Pluto

And Darby is being moved into Pooh's Playful Spot with Pooh and Tigger.

The Princess Rooms will be renovated one at a time (if at all) That is a rumor that may or may not come to pass. Thosep oor princesses can only hope.

Now I've always thought the princess room was great. I like the dark wood walls. It seems very gothic and keeping with the time period they are from. However, once I saw how they did the Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique in the castle, I immediately thought the princesses should have walls and ceilings like that. But yes, the princesses would love a new decor.

And Darby is being moved into Pooh's Playful Spot with Pooh and Tigger.

Darby was out a couple of months ago for a day, maybe, and hasn't been seen since. Reactions to her are mixed. Is she scheduled to come back?

Actually, she was out for a few days, and the response to her was quite popular. She was really popular and a lot of kids knew who she was. She is scheduled to come back very soon, I believe sometime this month.

Personally, I thought she was adorable. Her head is quite realistic looking (you know, for a gigantic child's head). By mixed reviews, I meant, if you have kids and watch the Disney Channel, she was popular. If you only know Pooh from the books and movies, you weren't thrilled with an outsider coming in. There are Pooh purists. Why did they take her away? Was it just a test?

When is the last time you were at the Magic Kingdom?

I go every year for a month (yes on property the whole time). I was last there march 8th.

The last time I went to the meet-n-greet though was the beginning of '05. I talked to a CM that showed me the 3 PALS room. at the time there were also Princesses and Hundred Acre Woods Characters.

Yep it was a test for the costume. Now, they have prepared the costumes in the magic kingdom and are getting ready to get her out on sets. Darby sees out of her eyes, and the heads are made with the same material that Pooh's mouth is made of so the person can see well without them fogging up.

That's a little too much information Mr. "The Magic of Disney". Thank you.

Wait, there could not have been 3 Pals rooms along with a Princess Room and a Poohs rooms. There are only 3 rooms. Also, in 2005 it was 1 Pals room, 1 Princess room, and the Pooh room.

That's a little too much information Mr. "The Magic of Disney". Thank you.

Amen.

I heard that Darby is supposed to be out on a regular basis very soon. I hope to see her in December.

I hope she is too. I would love to see her in Jan.

Well I guess I will chime in on this thread....after much thought about this issue about the Tink Meet n Greet, I am leaning on the side of opposed to it. As Much as I would LOVE to see TINK since she has been one of the MOST ELUSIVE characters in the Walt Disney Repitroir (sp?) , I am thinking this may, and I mean MAY ruin some of the magic and mistery of Tinkerbell. I know Disney will do this right, and it will be in good taste, I am just thinking it might spoil a little magic....I dont know....im on the fence with this one...:lookaroun

Yeah well you're on a website that reveals "too much information" the stuff you're NOT supposed to know. So if you don't want to know it, don't read it, or ignore it. If you like hearing this stuff, then fine.

The auditions for the Fairies were yesterday, and they should be coming out for greets in April.
