Was it really? How totally awesome. A couple of my friends have high hopes for good news. They made "Snow White" laugh. ^_^

Anybody know if Disney or Pixar is making the new Fairy movie? Rumor has it the people working on that movie were in the MK today.

Disney is going to be doing the movie, so it won't say "Disney-Pixar" or what not, it will be all Disney, but John Lasseter is overseeing the project. He absolutely hated the script and wanted to redo it. Currently, the fairies are being introduced to the public on the Disney Channel. The other day I got to see Silvermist, the fairy of water. It's really cute, the animation is really nice, and I think it's going to be a very cute movie. Fall 2008 (John Lasseter is really pushing for this date)

Well, Darby has been making magic. While not technically a face character, she has such a realistic looking face that children will go to her that won't go to Pooh or Tigger.

I know that John Lassiter was in the park last week, or so I've been told. I may or may not have met him. I met someone that looked like him, but I don't know if it was him.

Anyone know if the meet and greets with the fairies are still on track for April? We are trying to plan our next trip and would love to be there when they are out.

WoW, Darby looks great! My two are 2 and 3 so I see a lot of her in the morning and her "friend" looks perfect.
As for Faries, I am confused. Are they the same Faries that are Tink's sisters? From the Fairy line at the Disney Store. Or new faries, b/c I don't remember a Silvermist.

When I went to the Fairy Shop at DL, I was looking for Rani merch. The CM there told me that the meet and greets were on track, It would be the Fairies from the new Movie, and that there will be much more merch then. She was very excited about the meets, and had seen some of the artwork for the characters. I can't wait! My niece is a total Rani freak, she will love it!

off topic....sorry

Personally, I thought she was adorable. Her head is quite realistic looking (you know, for a gigantic child's head). By mixed reviews, I meant, if you have kids and watch the Disney Channel, she was popular. If you only know Pooh from the books and movies, you weren't thrilled with an outsider coming in. There are Pooh purists. Why did they take her away? Was it just a test?

Not to pull this thread anymore off topic but I need to figure this out...my daughter only started watching my friends tigger and pooh and we are trying to figure out who/why is Darby there and what has she done with chirstopher robin? Sorry about the off topic post.

It's not explained in her character even in the park. We can only assume that Christopher Robin passed them on to Darby

Christopher Robin still exists in "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" and has made a couple of appearances on the show. The idea is that Darby is a young friend of Christopher's who visits while he's off doing other things. As Nancy Kanter of the Disney Channel puts it: "Christopher Robin is still out there in the woods, playing."

I find the whole Darby thing weird, but that is just me.

Don't even get me started on the "Veggie Monster" change on Sesame Street. I don't know if that belongs out here, but I thought Disney owned some Muppet action, so there it is anyway.

Maybe I'm just a purist. :king:

Christopher Robin was in the Christmas parade too- I've never seen him as a character before. Dh and I both commented on it and rewound the dvr of the parade and yep, Christopher Robin with Pooh and gang. I found that weird since Darby is now making appearances in the park.
I wish Tink would be doing meet and greets soon- we are going in 24 days and this is definitely our last trip for a long while. Oh well...

I'd seen the plastichead CR, but never the Face Character. That was really exciting. I stopped down Christmas Morning to point it out to the family. They gave me weird looks the rest of the day.
