Tinkerbell Meet and Greet

Today I saw an audition ad posted backstage looking for some new friends to help Tinkerbell and her fairy friends come to life. I don't usually read the threads but if this hasn't been brought up before I guess I'll go ahead and throw it out there for anyone who still doubts Tinkerbell will be appearing in M&G form.

I had read elsewhere that the concept was to "shrink" to Tinkerbell's size as you walk through the cue line. The closer you get to her the larger your surroundings become.

Yes, somebody on another board posted that her daughter went to the Princesses audition on Oct. 20 and was told that she and five other girls were selected to be fairies instead. It might be for a meet and greet, but couldn't it be for the new Christmas parade or some other show instead?

That's been the idea for a couple of years now. The project has been on and off for a while...looks to be kinda "on" as of now.

I don't see how they are goign to do that considering it will be using the same lines you use to get to the princess room and pals room.

aren't there 3 rooms total?? I know one of the queues in the tent was empty with nothing on it not even a wait time during MNSSHP, while another had no characters listed but still had a wait time.

It might not have occurred to anyone that a new space might be built in MK for the Fairies.

That would probably put it in Fantasyland? If so, that means they took out a ride (20000 Leagues under the Sea), to put in a playground and a Meet & Greet? That sounds GREAT.:hurl:

While at Magic last week I spoke with a cast member that said they were planning on a Tink M&G scheduled for mid to late 2008 and it would be in FantasyLand. She was not 100% sure of the location, however she was told fantasyland is the only place you could imagine seeing Tink. As it was already posted, it will be a set that as you wait in queue you feel like you are shrinking to her size. Cool concept I think.

Not necessarily.
Last I heard the plan was to put her...um...a little closer to the Pan ride. Like if there was an unused building kinda right across the way....

This is the plan:

The fairies are going to have auditions in November and about 9 people may be chosen for Tinker Bell, and I'm not sure how many others will be chosen for the other fairies.

The Meet and Greet location is going to be in Toon Town, in the old "Pal's Room" where you could meet Pluto, Donald, and Goofy (and sometimes Minnie when it was raining)

The Pal's room is going to be gone completely, so you will no longer meet those characters there. Instead, Donald (and SOMETIMES Daisy) will be able to be met at Donald's house. Goofy will be at his house, and Pluto may either be with Mickey or with Minnie (I still have to ask about that)

The Fairy room will be designed like a Fairy Grove. Everything will be extremely large, so you will think you shrank to see Tinker Bell. It will be three fairies at a time, but Tinker Bell will constantly be in there. It may be Fawn, Tinker Bell, and Silvermist at some times, at other times it may be Rosetta, Tinker Bell, and Iridessa.

Now, the time line is what you've all been waiting for. When's it going to happen? Well, the Pal's Room will be closing in November, and the hope is that it will reopen in January. In January, the two Princess Rooms will close and there will be construction in those rooms (kind of a minor rehab that needs to be done)

But there will ONLY be 1 Fairy Room

So I guess if you want to see the other Fairies you will have to get back in line to see them and who knows when you finally get back to the room if they will even be out at that time???

I know Minnie and Mickey each has a house, and Donald has a boat, but where are Donald's and Goofy's houses?

Donald's boat IS his house. ^_^ And For US, Goofy's Barnstormer is his set location. In Disneyland, he has a house, but for us, that is as close as we'll get, haha
