Tinkerbell Meet and Greet?

The rumors I heard placed the meet and greet in the old Tommorowland Skyway Building (vacanted now by stroller parking), but a Toontown tent would be a better fit.

I'm surprised space isn't being carved out in Fantasyland for this. I would think some old areas, especially near PPF would be perfect for this (but the bottleneck... oh my lord, the bottleneck).

I am sort of indifferent on it (I know, 25yo guy, probably not as enamored/not the audience with a Tink meet & greet), but, I think it's a good idea. I am a little disappointed if she talks because I do agree the character's attitude comes out from her actions and lack of words (sort of a Maggie Simpson-esque role). But, who knows. Maybe she won't. I also like that they will be making some attempt to bring the guests "down to size" instead of the recent "eh, they'll be fine" attitude.

This also begs the question, then, whya ren't we shrunk to see Figzilla in what would be a VERY easy circumstance for the story ("use your imagination")

How about the skyway station in FantasyLand? This would be a logical place to put it. Right across from the Pan ride.

I think the skyway station would be perfect for it...If and only if they are able to utilize that small of an area to give you that "shrunken" feeling, if not than I think they should look to an area that is larger, but should still keep it in Fantasyland. A meet and greet at Toontown fair for this character seems to be Way out of place.

I herd this rumor earlier this year, its not that bad of an idea and could work... but are faries still as huge as they were a few years ago?

It coluld work however within toon town, or fantasyland... but tomorrowland? leave that for buzz and stitch.

That was my thought, too. Because of it;'s forced perspective, you do feel like it is smaller (or high up as originally intended). Despite Stroller Bay that exists at its base, I think it could be a nice fit.

This rumor has been going around entertainment ALOT! The most common rumor going around is that they are going to be redoing Pals room 1 into another princess room and Pals room 2 into a Tink and friends room. The second rumor going around would be a new Meet and Greet built next to Pooh's Play Spot that would give guest the impression they are shrinking. Also once you are fairy size you would be able to speak fairy.

Personally, I don't know if this will work/ go over. Sure, little kids will like it and not think twice about it (maybe some will), but it takes away from the mystique of the character. They may be able to explain the size issue, but are they going to be able to put the glowing aura around her? Maybe it will work better than I expect, though.
"size issue?" Doesn't the quote say that guests will "shrink" to meet her? It sounds to me like she's going to be in an area done up as if everything around you is huge, therefore making YOU and Tink seem small. Problem solved. If anything, they should have her in Fantasyland. I mean, the ride based on the film she's in is there isn't it?

So for real everyone, this has been a rumor for AGES. Since 2005 i've heard it. But, it's not happening anytime soon. Sorry.

They have a life sized Tink in the afternoon parade at Disneyland. She is sitting up on top of the parade float. I was concerned that my children might say something about her being life sized, but neither one of them blinked an eye. My 8 year old daughter eventually said that Tink made herself bigger to make it easier to see her in the parade, and also with the firework show.

If done properly, I believe it would work.

I love the idea of a Tink meet and greet! I think the idea of putting her with over-sized props is genius. My daughter is 15 and has been a huge Tink fan forever. She has always wanted a meet and greet. Tinker Bell has a massive following. I am also for the idea of skyway station and keeping it in Fantasyland, but I'll go to Toon Town if I have to. :)

I remember there was a question as to why there were no Tink meet and greets a couple of years back, and I remember thinking that too. Then I remembered about the size issue and thought about them being able to make you look like you were walking into something so that you "grow" smaller.

Love the fake legs. Kinda funny they didn't try harder to make it no-so-noticeable.

are your sure... cause i have a photo.. and her legs are not in the same position... (she also sits on top of the first float in Disneyland)

I figured she's sitting in a harness

Fake legs? Really? It just looks like she's sitting and leaning forward to me...

Anyway, I don't really understand the problem. There are plenty of characters (mice, bugs, toys, cats, dogs, etc) that aren't the "right" size at their meet 'n greets, not to mention that some of them talk onscreen, but don't in real life, or vice versa. And we won't even get into the various aliens, mermaids, non-growing-up flying boys, talking furniture, aliens masquerading as blue doggies, monsters, super heroes, or other "not right" characters that are none the less loved... None of those characters need to be explained or "shrunk" or anything in order for people to believe. Why would Tink be the ONLY character that needs that special treatment?
I honestly don't get what the fuss is about.:veryconfu
