7/9/07) Screamscape has heard that plans are in the works to add a Tinker Bell character Meet & Greet, possibly to the Toon Square character tent. To fit in with the theme, apparently they will “shrink” you while your in the queue so you’ll be the same size as Tink.

Personally, I don't know if this will work/ go over. Sure, little kids will like it and not think twice about it (maybe some will), but it takes away from the mystique of the character. They may be able to explain the size issue, but are they going to be able to put the glowing aura around her? Maybe it will work better than I expect, though.

My friend is going to try out for tink, you have to be under 100 lbs and apparently, the current tink at the disney parks is a grandma..:hammer:

The current tink requirements are for the tinkerbell who appears before Wishes. The weight requirement is necessary for the harness cable. I assume the Meet & Greet Tink will not have a harness cable. ;)

They have a life sized Tink in the afternoon parade at Disneyland. She is sitting up on top of the parade float. I was concerned that my children might say something about her being life sized, but neither one of them blinked an eye. My 8 year old daughter eventually said that Tink made herself bigger to make it easier to see her in the parade, and also with the firework show.

If done properly, I believe it would work.

I've always argued with my friend who loves Tink on this topic. I did the whole "She's too small to be walking around the parks." and her response was "Lumiere and Cogsworth are too small to be that big on stage!" I dunno the right answer, but I think the shrinking would be necessary. Either way, I'm excited to see where it goes.

I know this would go over big with my two daughters, they are huge tinkerbell fans, I don't think it would matter to them if they were shrunk down or not. It could be cool if they could do it with some imagination.

For those worried about the size issue, Mickey and Minnie are mice and they're a lot bigger than they should be. It sounds like they have a good way to help the size issue. Plus, there's a Tink in the DL and WDW parade and firework show, all life size. From what I've heard, people haven't had a problem with it.
