Maybe they kept him on as one of those fake security guards they were speaking about in another thread.:drevil:

Thread drift LOL... Maybe the Monster's Inc show will actually star Eisner as the lead monster who scares the little children and adults alike... Or, better yet, they broadcast that farce of a TV show Eisner has now... That is laughable LOL

Changes WILL be coming to the Mansion...but they WILL NOT include Jim Evers.
The time frame wasn't set last I heard, but expect similar changes to what is currently underway at Disneyland.

As long as it doesn't include Jim Evers.. that would be sickening.

I'm not quite so sold on the serial murderess bride, but I like the idea of updating the attraction with some new effects.

Lee, does it sound like this is going to be a "cloning" situation or will each Mansion basically be getting its own version of the changes and, therefore, its own individual mini-storylines?

The way I understand it, the changes will be pretty much the same at both Mansions.

:sohappy:

Hopefully our Mansion will get some other TLC that it so desperately needs.

Seriously. Bring on the blood-thirsty bride if it means we get an audio upgrade.

What if they made the bride a money hungry CEO who wants to bleed you dry of your money by creating dumbed down rides complete with a merchandise store after these rides and.. Oh nevermind.. thread drift LOL

I just got an email that the new axe-wielding Bride effect is now up and running at DL, along with the portraits of her with her husbands...with and without their heads.

Eddie Murphy's character in the not so good movie rendition of The Haunted Mansion....

Ugh... (Shivers in Disgust):hurl:

If that was included in the Haunted Mansion i think the ghosts would go on strike...

I hope they do something a little different to this mansion. I don't think kids will like it as much. I think it is great how they can go on this ride and have the fantasy and use their imaginations but not get completely scared out of their pants. This isn't a Stephen King ride. I like the mansion the way it is, just give it a little TLC. Why do they have to mess with the classics?

I don`t think this is messing; more of plussing. Kids would be aware it`s a spooky haunted house so not be too surprised. Unless they (or their parents) switch off at least 2 of their senses when they enter as in Alien Encounter.

Messing with the classics would be better directed at Imagination, Tiki Room and a host of others I`d probably get flamed for!

I just still don't see how a Monster's Inc ride fits into Tomorrowland. I really don't.

The "legend of the lion king" show is in DLP's version of tomorrowland... and c'mon ... what does the indy speedway have to do with tomorrowland? .... I sometimes think COP is even a little of a stretch sometimes... I was thinking like you were but then just gave up... hey give it a chance. 9 times out of 10 WDI does a great job with what they are working on... pixar related or not.

The ride is really not any scarier than before. In fact, it's pretty funny. The Bride married rich men and killed them for their money...yeah, that sounds harsh, but it's shown in a funny way: Their heads disappear from their portraits in the attic.
True, the new Bride (not a real AA...a projection effect like Little Leota) has an axe...but its not dripping blood or anything.

It is - and it sticks out like a sore thumb. It was the only venue suitable for this (superb) show. Originally there were `statues` of characters from the film around Discoveryland. Due to numerous complaints they were removed.
