Disneyland does amazing stuff at Christmas. Amazing. And they go all out in New Orleans Square with a very funky look, like each shop owner did something a bit different from the shop or restaurant next door. But it all comes together.

My favorite thing about New Orleans Square at Christmas are all the street lamps decorated in different themes.

It will be interesting to see how Tiana meshes into all of this decorative frenzy in November and December. Is it possible putting Tiana and her jazzy procession in this New Orleans Square Christmas environment might be themed overload??? Maybe too much of a good thing and just too frantic???

.

Wow thanks for the pics! I was in DL for the first time in May but my next trip in 2013 will have to be planned around holiday season!

To add to the above post here is a tidbit from the Atlanta Journal....via the disney report...

"Disney Consumer Products representatives confirmed they have received calls from customers looking for the sold-out costumes. Sales, they said, have exceeded expectations, especially since the film has yet to be released. Willis typically doesn't celebrate Halloween, but this year, Princess Tiana was a good enough reason to start."

Everyone is selling out of Tiana costumes and many people have yet to hear about the movie. This film has serious momentum and I believe will live up to those expectations. The Iger/Lasseter team is about to crush all doubters.

Disney needs to add the characters to the parks permanently...IMO.

It's real. It's Disneyland USA. :animwink: And it really is a perfect setting for Princess Tiana. You have to wonder how much John Lasseter influenced the Studios placing the latest Princess in the exact place and time of a land that already exists at Disneyland.

New Orleans Square really was Walt's crowning achievement in theme park design. He opened it in July, 1966 about five months before he passed away. Walt Disney and his entire hand-picked organization were at the very top of their artistic game when they designed and built New Orleans Square in the mid 1960's, not to mention its signature attraction Pirates of the Caribbean. :sohappy:

Yes...EPCOT Explorer needs to Explore Disneyland.:lol:

Sheesh. Everytime I read these things, even if it's something I already know, makes me want to go even more.
Both LS and NOS are,IMO.
I agree. LS is quite amazing. Would love to see it decorated like this, though.

Well my Disney Store still had Tiana costumes left today so its not sold out everywhere but I am sure its extreamly popular. I would love to see this show go at least until a bit after they release the DVD. This would give everyone more time to see it & enjoy how wonderful it is. Everyone who goes keep telling them how much you love it & you would also love to see Louis & Dr. F. doing M&Gs because these two would be great for meeting. I wanted to tackle Dr. F. as he snuck backstage after a show through the crowd because he was so amazing looking. Whats great is I wanted a quick pic with my cell & he was full out striking posses for me the guy was good. If they don't do M&Gs with him I just may have to see if I can grab him for a pic (w/ me) before Jan. 3 because I am huge on villains. Those wondering I did take video of the show & I hope to get it up in a few days I am running behind. BTW those with a sharp eye can spot me w/ my cam in front of my face in the Disney Parks video as Tiana & the dancers head onto the boat when they switch to the close up (I am next to a lady in a black top wearing a blue button down shirt w/ my Oswald tee showing)
