I saw Everest in its Glory Days! Full mist, full motion on the yeti, even the bird on a stick! The mist effect was really cool.
I remember it too....and the steam when the trains came into the station...a little effect but went so far in making you feel like you were taking a steam train up the mountain... It was great!! There were always rumors that as soon as Pandora opened they would go back and fix all of Everest....but I guess that will not happen... especially if they move forward with Indiana Jones and Encanto... It would have to be after those tings were up and running...so at least another 5 years...and by then, the attraction will be 23 years old....

And I think the vast majority of guests will be more preoccupied with the 50 foot drop in front of them than the realization that their two second view became a one second view lol.
It's about the little things. On it's own, it isn't that big of a deal, but when there are so many questionable changes made with this overhaul (changes that have nothing to do with the different character theme), it adds up.

Sure, but I don't think its fair to judge its merit based on the view of external visuals that have nothing to do with the actual attraction itself? I mean I don't tell people I love Expedition Everest because I can see Tower of Terror in the front row at the top.

Well, now that we've finished criticising the dialogue in the attraction based on a few words heard out of context, it's time to criticise how a mist effect no-one has experienced ruins the view.

I also get people's scepticism about how long this effect is kept working, but can't we wait until it actually stops working and isn't repaired before we start complaining about how it has stopped working and Disney won't repair it?
If this makes someone unwilling to go on the ride, they won't be mist.

There's been a lot of talk of overly done complaints about the complaints are and whether or not they even exist or are some mythical boogeyman, this is a succinct summation of the issues that wear on the reasonable.

I just thought of something. If the entire plot of the attraction is that we're gathering animal musicians for Mardi Gras, no conflict whatsoever, why exactly are we going to Mama Odie's house?

This is why the rumor of her turning us human again after shrinking us down made sense but apparently Alicia Stella shut down that rumor. Maybe someone at Disney didn’t like that that part of the plot slipped.

When the stock market crash of 29 happens and business declines, Tiana and her friends seek the aid of Mama Odie to whip up some magic to reverse the financial fortunes of the Tiana's Foods Co-Op.

Assuming I'm reading the leaves correctly, one thing I'm looking forward to is the addition of a fog screen and/or fog effects. It lends itself well in creating a swampy bayou mystique. So often fog and smoke effects are left on the cutting room floor or turned off later, never to return. With the addition of that "True Bayou Magic" hint, it seems likely it'll be a key aspect of the attraction. Possibly right before the big drop! Oh and scents too! Gimmicky to some, but I think they'll enhance and further differentiate it from the original attraction.
Nailed it! 10 points to Gryffindor.

Saw imagineers riding Tiana’s tonight with NO safety vests… meaning the ride is basically in a state of completion!
