That would be a lovely surprise. I struggle to believe it will be ready much before Christmas but that’s just a guess. I don’t know the current state of the project (in particular, the inside. They could easily finish the outside by next summer).

I do know they legitimately want this done ASAP.

That being said, DL’s closed 4 months after ours and they are doing the same amount of work (right?). If DL’s can open in 2024, perhaps summer is possible in MK.

I'm guessing ours will take longer to complete the interior given how distinct each set piece was to what was happening in Splash, where as Disneyland’s was much more of rocky crevaces/marshland. If I had to guess ours got more substantial interior demolition/reconstruction

Looks like they are going all out on this, they brought rocks to Florida. Real rocks not fiberglass, rocks are expensive to get to central Florida.....

No, Those died years ago when my magic+ failed.

Isn't this the area already revealed in the TBA scale model? Signage, some magnolias and rockwork. Looks like rockwork base with garden picket fence queue.

Only hint at what TBA's queue will look like right now is from the model of Disneyland's version at 22's D23. Actually now that I look at this, it seems to have the wooden rails that WDW had.

From this past Tuesday (10/3):

Kind of surreal finally seeing it in person now. On my last WDW trip about 2 years ago I was having my last few rides on Splash Mountain.
Just feels weird not doing splash this trip. Also, this side of the park is eerily quiet now and (obviously) has less foot-traffic. Wondered if it affected BTMR somewhat because the wait times for it were not that bad at all for it.

Looking forward to what this turns into once it opens, and hopefully it is open by my next WDW trip!

I don't recall seeing any, so hopefully someone who frequents the parks could confirm.

I do recall seeing signage near the play area, pointing to the restroom or something.

It always amazes me that they built the entire park in less time than it took to do 1 attraction nowadays.

Why would that be surprising? An attraction isn't completed more quickly just because you're not working on nine other attractions simultaneously. When you tack on the logistics of working within an active park and trying to keep daytime noise to a minimum, it's no mystery why it takes the time that it does. Nine women can't birth a baby in one month.
