My insiders shared this was planned for the initial launch of the new ride, but due to budget cuts and having to push it off until the next fiscal year it got shelved. This was only recently added to cement Bob’s legacy and begin the transition to Igerland. Two little sparks…

She was cooking and she's coming back. She was a kid and then she was an adult.

Got it. Riveting.

I blame this "look, it's her kitchen and it looks so much like a real place, this is her REAL PLACE" queue/mindset for the huge downgrades in signs and structures outside of the ride.

Big, visually interesting statues of characters? That's something you see at a theme park. We're not in a theme park, we're touring a real food co-op! Weeeeee!

Walt Disney World Holds Onto Virtual Queue for Tiana's Bayou Adventure as Disneyland Moves to Standby

Good for DLR, this stinks for WDW.

I think Guardians in EPCOT still has VQ also?

The VQ takes away capacity and takes away personal choice from the guest in my opinion.

My assumption is they’re going to keep it VQ until the Christmas parties end so they can let standby continue as an ‘incentive’ to the party. Once parties end, I expect the VQ to end either right before Christmas to help holiday crowds OR in January when BTM shuts down to help with capacity.

How much is it to join a VQ?
None. But if you visit MK on a day where the 7am drop is filled in seconds and you didn't snag a spot but you really wanted to ride, there's always that "Purchase" button in MDE under Lightning Lane... With VQ, that button becomes more appealing (to TDO) than simply having guests be able to wait in a standby queue.

Well, since there is no LLSP for Tiana and if you don't win the Tiana lottery, or your return time is 6 hours away when you "win" the Tiana lottery, folks may consider purchasing LLPP.

I have "won" the VQ lottery for Guardians but the return time was more than 6 hours away and it goes without saying, I never used it.

But you are right no standby for Tiana in WDW is not about money, its about the attraction's reliability.

WDW's Tiana couldn't possibly support the normal standby the precious attraction did for decades.

You can check the app to see if there is any Lightning Lane availability, which there obviously isn’t on the day of one’s visit. So why would anyone pay for the service when it wouldn’t get them on the ride?
