I must admit that we successfully dared a friend to buy (and wear) the "dry is not an option" Splash Mountain t-shirt.Avoiding getting wet on SM was easy at WDW. All you had to do was duck. At DL it was a different story. You get absolutely drenched no matter what.
It doesn't but okay. The word "animatronic" has a broad spectrum of meaning.
I rode front row on SM back in December and barely got wetAvoiding getting wet on SM was easy at WDW. All you had to do was duck. At DL it was a different story. You get absolutely drenched no matter what.
I know we’re expecting Odie before the drop but the new DL concept art looks more like the Take me Along gator alcove
I don’t know if this was posted yet, but it is confirmed Mama Odie is actually an AA
Disney uses the term extremely loosely. They call the spinning beehive props animatronics on their website. That's where their marketing people get the "over 100" for Splash, when the actual number is like half that.It doesn't but okay.
Ebay'ers sold all the water, no water no wet.........I rode front row on SM back in December and barely got wet
It’ll be salt water now tho right?Ebay'ers sold all the water, no water no wet.........
Yes, the boats will float a little higher...It’ll be salt water now tho right?
In December I’m pretty sure they adjust the water levels to tone it down a bit but at DL, generally speaking, you get absolutely drenchedI rode front row on SM back in December and barely got wet
Dunno if this supposed to be a negative point against the ride but let's just say half of the animatronics are moving props, that's still a remarkable amount of kinetic movement on that ride. Lots of action going on.Disney uses the term extremely loosely. They call the spinning beehive props animatronics on their website. I think it's more to do with the whole "dozens" thing. Of those, how many are actual "animatronics" and not just a static critter that moves back and forth on the bones of a $20 oscillating pedestal fan? Not that there's anything wrong with that. (Works for Spirit Halloween) It's just not a good look comparatively -- if we're only getting 24-ish animatronics in this new version of Splash Mountain.Dunno if this supposed to be a negative point against the ride but let's just say half of the animatronics are moving props, that's still a remarkable amount of kinetic movement on that ride. I am holding them to at least 24 things that move. Strobe lights and fog machines not included.I think it's more to do with the whole "dozens" thing.
