I skimmed through the video before it was privated. Just a roundtable discussion reiterating what we already know. Waste of time. Don't concern yourself.

I expect first test riders will be going through in the next week or so at the rate they're wrapping up?
I really don't see why you'd think this. The logs still have their red rejected flags and yellow paint showing they're not ready for guest use yet. They may also do weighted dummy testing too, not sure.

But most of all, the queue is still very unfinished. As is the flume area between the first two lifts. Those frog statues are still unpainted, and there's quite a bit of plant foliage left to install.

Today could very well be the day we see the first riders with the amount of Imagineers on-site right now.

They literally *just* took down the final scaffolding on the lift before the drop and are now walking the track with iPads presumably doing final checks.

I don't think these testing signs went up for no reason.

Obviously times are different, but I remember reading a book about when MK first opened the amount of work they completed the day before opening was staggering.

Not going to happen right now of course, but it would be interesting to see just how quickly they could finish this stuff if they needed to.

I feel like I’d start live testing after hours or in early morning. I’d want to keep it on the dl as much as possible to avoid upset or confused guests.

How can guests be confused when there's a testing only sign
Well… there is always a moron who doesn’t read the sign. The signs are in English as well, so you’d need to speak English to understand them. Was that a real question or did you just take issue with my suggestion?

Also, I noticed that some of the logs have an "accepted" tag attached to the rear, in contrast to the older ones that said "rejected".

This doesn't seem to be related to the padding on the lap bars however, since this particular boat is still using the older brownish color instead of the red. Possibly just a general sea-worthiness test, or other cosmetic work that was deemed complete. Does go to show however that they have indeed been swapping boats in and out of the workshop to be repaired while they're testing others. As I figured was the case.

i hope the reports on this ride are not true. A video showing the digital rendering of the ending secene, It will consist of the riverboat replaced with a facade of Tiana's eatery. The whole scene will have a total of 9 animatronics. There will also be a animatronic of Mama Odie right before the drop making it 10. Reports from WDI says that the ride will have a total of 17 animatronics. Does that mean that the long flume ride inside will be mostly projections or set pieces filled with lighting and mist and 7 animatronics spread throughout?

Splash mountain had over 100 animatronics and animated figures are we seeing another Avatar boat ride that is filled with effects and screens and then just a few random animatronics duplicated of the same characters? I sure hope they are not accounting for the bayou critters as part of the number 17.
If not then they just dumb down the ride from being a fully immersive extremely popular attraction to another projector based attraction. Seems like Disney is going the Universal way while universal is taking a hard "U" turn and slowly getting away from projections

This has already been addressed. There are around 17 named characters, not 17 animatronics.

Not trying to shoot the messenger but all of that sounds like fake news concocted by a bitter Splash Mountain trying to (laughably) spread misinformation about the attraction.
