"Princess cartoons are not just for little girls" is like saying "Comic books are Graphic Novels for adults." I mean, come on! I've had to admit for decades now that one of my favorite movies is not just an "Historical Drama", but the definitive Chick Flick. But at least I admit it!

I don't know, you seem to be fixated on labelling things and making assumptions based on them. If it's a ride based on a princess, clearly the only people who can be happy are girls. Clearly there can't be anything thrilling or exciting, because, you know, little girls. Seems like a lot of assumptions to me.

My philosophy is this: like what you like. If it doesn't hurt anyone, what's the harm?

I do like to go there and it seems to make people uncomfortable.

I've argued similarly about Pirates of the Caribbean and their failed attempt to shoehorn a Strong Female Character. "Red" never caught on. Turns out women were happy with a Johnny Depp robot in there. It's a boy's ride.

Splash is becoming a girl's ride. Yes, Princesses are feminine. Many boys cannot relate to a story about a young Princess marrying a guy. These are not things that boys tend to like.

They like action and adventure, guns, Titanic.

Oh ok. I guess as a male I can't find Bridesmaids hilarious because there isn't a significant male character in it. This is nonsense.

Isn't it reductive to assume that men can only like x and women can only like y?

Like what you like.

They're renaming the movie and the ride to "Frogged" to bring in young boys.

Why ?

I don't have any specific beef with McDonald's aesthetic changes, but I do have to wonder who decided that we all want bland eateries that look and feel the same, with the same colors and same non-existant personality. Because this is seemingly the only look approved for restaurants now and it feels like 90% of the restaurants built or remodeled in the last decade look like this now. Why indeed?
