Goodbye Cafe Orleans or Goodbye Hungry Bear? I’m guessing Cafe Orleans.
Don’t lose it MickEblu. We’ve been through this a million times.
Oh without a doubt that's what they mean by characters. Same way Brer Roadrunner and Porcupine are characters on the current ride. No, not Cafe Orleans. Please.
Let it be Hungry Bear or French Market (and I don’t even want that going either). Also, 16 new characters? I bet they’re counting random animals that aren’t really characters.

Cafe Orleans is historic, though. I don’t want Hungry Bear going either, but I’d prefer that one to be the one to go.I’d actually prefer it be Cafe Orleans over Hungry Bear. The former would be more of change in name only. I wouldn’t anticipate huge changes to the decorations/ setting or menu. Hungry Bear on the other hand we’d be losing something more unique to the park.
Possibly it’s neither and they carve out some space elsewhere? Probably not.

If anything, let Pooh’s Corner go. I wouldn’t blink an eye.
Right. So no matter how we look at it, it’s not good.Yeah but if it goes in Pooh Corner than that probably means Critter Country as we know it gone
Coming back from the "other side" to share some of the story tidbits. Won't be posting frequently, just thought I'd share.
Yup it was weird that there was any doubt when they mentioned it in the research video but for a while people here got really defensive about that when people assumed one would be part of the ride.Salt mine confirmed.
The WDI models are always beautiful and technically well done, but I’m not sure how to feel about the night time look. The illuminated water tower seems to be the main focal point now and not the actual drop on the ride? I still have high hopes for this re-theme, but right now it’s hard to adjust to the new look. It feels like there should be something iconic above the final drop, like the original Chickepin Hill tree or the first concept rendering of the boat in the tree from PATF.It’s just a model, but the night version is beautiful.
The night looks fantastic. The water tower is dumb. It's like they thought " we need to add a weenie!" after removing the tree, so they decided to block the view after the first lift with an eyesore. The WDI models are always beautiful and technically well done, but I’m not sure how to feel about the night time look. Spoke too soon here hearing the employee-owned co-op angle.Don't love the look but maybe it'll grow on me. Feels very company town-y.
This is definitely a case where we’ll really have to wait until it opens and see it with our eyes. I doubt any final concept artwork will help us truly understand what it’ll look like. The WDI models are always beautiful and technically well done, but I’m not sure how to feel about the night time look. Kind of hoping the "Tiana grows her business!" stuff is just, like, subtext. That blurb makes it sound like there'll be an interactive scene where she adds you on LinkedIn.
