Pre-Trip Three Words: My Pre Trip Report!

Not long ago I was out for a ride on my bicycle. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, my mind was at peace and I began to think of my wife and how much I love her and had a desire to do something special for her.

Wonderful ideas began to flood my mind. Flowers would be nice, but I needed something better. Perhaps a special dinner? No, that wouldn't be enough. Jewelery? Na, she's very picky and I would most likely get the wrong thing.

Then, i had a spark! An idea that was perfect! As it came to fruition in mind, a big smile came across my face, and then, out of nowhere... I fell of my bike.

Luckily I was not injured aside from a badly bruised ego lol. My Great idea was a trip to Disney world of course! It's been nearly a year since we last visited together and it's about time we get back!

Being just a few months out it was nearly impossible finding more than 2 days together on the dvc website. Over the next 2 weeks I began reserving specific days and was able to piece together 5 days in a row. I definitely wanted more but this was enough to share the news with my wife! I was able to get our home, Boardwalk Villas. We will have a 1 bedroom villa with pool/garden view!

I've visited twice this year, but sans wifey. Our last trip was Ocotber of 2021 and the mask mandate was still enforced outdoors. Even though we had a good time she she decided she would not visit again until the nonsensical mandate was lifted completely. Here's some pics from that trip. Over the course of the last 2 months I was able to get a total of 9 days at boardwalk villas. I recently just added an additional 2 days to the beginning of the trip at Wilderness Lodge, studio room, Club Level.

Needless to say, C is SUPER excited to visit again now that we don't have to wear masks.

We left Mexico and headed to Norway. C got a pastry.

Then we rode my low-key favorite attraction. I was very excited. C was not

I grabbed an Einstock Ale on the way out and drank it in China. I spent a majority of my childhood in China. My parents worked at a shoe factory and did what was necessary.

Refill in France. I also spent a majority of my childhood in France. My parents were bread makers. We celebrated All Saints Day probly more than any of you.

We were plum tuckered and headed back to the room.for a break.

The rest of the day was just relaxing at the room.and we went over to Yacht Club for some.dinner and then called it a night.

Day 7

I was up early for another virtual queue for Cosmic Rewind. We had originally planned on MK that morning but I switched it to Epcot because Cosmic Rewind is thay good in our opinions.

I got bkarding group 32 so it didn't take too long. We saw the step sisters on our way over

This time around is where I figured out when they take your picture, thanks to the lady in front of us.

We also rode Ratatouille afterwards and then headed back to the room. We had a Disney Dining Reservation later in the day.

I went down to the leisure pool.to swim some laps. I had been going each day and it's my new favorite way to cool off and burn a few calories. And the leisure pool is a square so it's great to swim laps.

I decided to act get some swimming goggles so I stopped into screen door.

After my exercise I relaxed poolside for a bit.

After that it was time to freshen up and head out for our late lunch early dinner

We were headed to the Springs to go to the Edison.

An old fashioned and the Edison specialty cocktail with some spinach dip to start.

I got the burger. C got the blackened mahi mahi. She said it was her new favorite meal.

As we ate, I noticed that their chairs strongly resemble the old chairs at Wendy's (fast food joint) of the 80s/90s version of the restaurants, which were awesome with the glass indoor patios.

I googled it and sure enough they look the same lol

Day 7 ctd...

After the Eddison, C wanted to go checkout the Lululemon store so I grabbed a drink at the Polite Pig. I think it was the golden ale.

C got some typenof yoga pants thing amd then we headed back to BW.

I showed C the activity center by the leisure pool. She got a few games of pinball in

We headed back to the room.and C was done for the day. I had plans to catch game one of the World Series!

I watched the first few innings over at Shulas Steak House at the Dolphin.

First drink was a burboun and sour

Next was a Boulevardier

Astros were up but I was rooting for the Phillies. You may be asking, But why, 9000? You are from Atlanta?? Amd you're right! Since the Phillies beat us, Im pulling for them.

Next I headed over to Crews Cup at YC

I ordered a NY Sour to start

There were several Phillies fans at the bar and we had a great time as they made a comeback.

I headed back to the room to finish the game.

The line for riff Raff Express was all the way back to Hurricane Hannah's (the poolside bar at BC). I've never seen it thay long at park closing. The blue arrow is where HH is.

I mobile.ordered the grilled chicken sandwich from bkardwalk deli. It was very good! No pics of it. I was pretty tipsy because I got a Sam Adam's to go when I left CC.

Day 8

It was a HS day! I had not mentioned on day one that C gave the room her thorough scrub down because i figured most people that read my reports already knew that. But this trip she adopted a new cleaning ritual. I didn't think there was anything else she could clean, but in the words of Ian Malcom, life, uh, finds a way!

Yes, she was washing the resort towels in our washer/dryer in the room. I asked her why on earth she would do that when they will give us clean towels???

She said she found a stain on one of the towels. It was a small stain and the towel had been cleaned but the stain was still there.

Allow me to give you a quick bit of input about my wife. If anything has a stain or mark on it, she automatically assumes it's poop. Regardless of size or color...its Pooh in her mind, and I ain't talking about Winnie.

She brings detergent and fabric softener from home for our clothes so she already had the necessary items to wash towels for the remainder of our trip, and she did.

After laundry time, we headed to the park. We stopped at the restrooms outside the park and I noticed someone had left drugs on the bench.

They were probly vitamins but I took the opportunity to make.dumb jokes as we walked to the entrance. C did not care for my humor.

First up was TSMM. C has not beaten me or broken 200,000 for the score so this trip was to help her learn. I was trying to point out the higher targets

She definitely did better and wasn't trying to get to 200,000 as we took our time so she could see where the targets were. I only shot at targets to help unlock the higher targets for her.

Next, we went to see Mickey hit the traaaaack switch!!

Then we went to see the stupid At AT

on and then over for lunch at IL Mulino to get Sean's favorite pizza!

Ok, that's actually Pizza Rizzo, but same thing as Mulino. Am I right?

You can take the boy out of Fazoli’s but you can’t take the Fazoli’s out of the boy. Nothing but the finest eyetalian for our boy, Keith. Only thing missing is a finely aged Zima, slightly chilled, duct tapped to one hand.

It was getting very hot out so we headed back to the room for a break. I hit the leisure pool to get some exercise and C treated herself to washing and drying our room towels. Seriously, don't feel bad. She has fun doing that.

We went back to HS after the weather cooled off. She wanted to practice some more at TSMM.

She told me not to hold back. I told her to have another round of practice and I'd help.her but she was feeling c0cky...

I admire her courage. Loosing will only fuel her frustration to beat me.

We hit Basline (shocker) afterwards. I got the Red Seal Ale and C got really wild and had some water.

We stopped at the cart by Indiana Jones and she got a Truly. We enjoyed our drinks in the company of big Gert!

Fun fact: I like to quote Chandler Bing from the episode where Monica makes the Christmas candy and the neighbors start lining up at her door and "Garry" knocks on the door in the middle.of the night and Chandler says, "night Gare"! And I like to say that when we pass Gertie. Ya, I'm weird (and usually tipsy at HS)
