I really like Celebrations! I subscribe and it always has a very wide variety of topics covering everything from parks and resorts, to merch and dining so I think it is well worth it!

I've been a subscriber since the first issue and for the most part have liked it. But it's really geared more towards the novice park visitor and someone who doesn't get to spend a lot of time in the parks. After 3 years I have lost my interest in the magazine and find it to be kind of redundant in its offerings. And having been an APer for 5 years, much of what it has to say I already know/knew/have experienced.

I think it's a great publication, especially for non-locals....but I have decided not to renew this year personally as I feel like I was wasting my money.

I've been suscribed to this magazine since the first issue. I love it. It gives a lot of detail about rides and attractions. Also great articles about restaurant and resorts w/reviews too. Of course it's all pro-Disney so you won't find any negative reviews really. It has lots of history too about past attractions and ideas for Disney parks.

It's a nice taste of the parks every so often when I only get to visit once a year. I highly recommend it!

I like the magazine, it's a nice dose of Disney inbetween visits! My kids like some sections of the magazine as well (especially the hidden Mickey's).

I agree that some of what is in the magazine is not new to me but I still like holding a good 'ole fashion magazine in my hands and flipping through the pages. The pictures are usually quite nice and it makes a nice coffee table magazine!

There a couple of things I would change about the magazine, though. I would take out the Calendar of Events and the Disney News. I would assume that most subscribers to the magazine are hardcore Disney World fans (who else is going to pay for a magazine dedicated to WDW!?!) and I would also assume that most of the info in both these sections are already well known by the majority of its readers! Most of us already know all the latest Disney news and upcoming events long before the magazine even shows up in our mail box!

I still would recommend the magazine to any fan who enjoys a good read about WDW, though!

Very cool, congrats! I've been a subscriber since the beginning. It's a nice magazine, but I agree with the other posters that most of us on these boards probably know all the information already. Still, they're very nicely done and are fun to read.

I very much enjoy the magazine, have subscribed for a couple of years. For someone that does not get to go to the parks as much as liked, it helps with "fix" of not being there. I have had editions that made me wonder why I had subscribed, but finally looking into articles, I do find some hidden gems. I love the concept art of new and past attractions. Articles on places to eat, stay or rides are priceless. There usually is an article on Disneyland...wish there were MORE on Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong too! Pin tradding, hints on taking pics...great stuff also. The "Ask Maredith" section has been neat to see her progression of growing up in the parks..only wish my daughter could has this wonderful experience. I will take a couple of mags with us and try to have a pic taken with a character to be one of the "families" in the letters section one day! I think you would enjoy the mag due to what I have read on your trip threads!

I have had similar thoughts myself. I recently renewed, but I have thought about not renewing in the future. They're pretty well covered everything, and they stopped having a "featured resort" section a while back because they went through almost all the resorts. I may keep renewing though, as it is nice to have something to look forward to in the mail besides bills and junk mail. LOL

One of my main complaints is that they waste too much print space on Disney Land, Disney Cruise Line and other non WDW things. IMO, it is supposed to be a magazine about WALT DISNEY WORLD as per the banner on the title page which even says something about exploring the fun of Disney World, or something to that effect. I subscribed to the magazine because of my love for WDW, and I have never been to DL, DCL, or any other place. I am paying to read about Disney World in Orlando and I don't give a rat's behind about any of these other places. I would rather see this magazine remain about WDW and not any of these other Disney locations. So I wish they would stop wasting space on that crap.

I actually do enjoy the Disneyland section. But I definitely agree with your thoughts. What would be nice is if they did a "comparison" section going forward that would talk about the differences between the lands or attraction at Disney World and the other parks around the world. One thing that has ALWAYS bothered be about the Disneyland section was that it features Disneyland California but the picture of the castle next to J Darling's picture is of Paris. :brick:

I also agree on the comments about the calendar section, upcoming events, news, etc...that spans about 20% of the magazine and most of the people who subscribe already know that stuff.

I would also love to see a critique section. Not a bashing section, but there's no reason why they can't be critical every once in awhile. And not even critical necessarily but offer opinions on current happens at the resort, compare events or promotions year or year, talk about the VPs and Meg Crofton (whether they like them or not). Just to get a bit more in-depth about the resort in general. But I guess that could make them lose their gold star with Disney and Lou wouldn't like that. :lookaroun

oh, and after seeing the special issue for christmas...I probably will be picking that up.

^This! I feel the same way! I subscribe to the magazine for my love of WDW not Disney Parks!!! The magazine is advertised as a WDW magazine and therefore should only have info about such in it!

A comparison section would be intersting... it would be neat if they compared the Pooh ride in DL with the one in WDW or something like that. That type of stuff I would be interested in reading about.

I'm ok with everything being filled with Pixie Dust (I get my dose of the real world on this forum :animwink:) but I would like more content and less news, upcoming events, etc. as I mentioned before!
