Photo update as of Friday, July 27, 2018. Ground level view of the support structure for the pedestrian bridge, with the pedestrian bridge in the background. The bridge sections are being assembled now. A cast member confirmed the bridge will be positioned over the road on the evening of August 6.

Capacity wise how does this one compare with Orange and Lime?

Thought it was suppose to be smaller than Lime but the aerials make it look bigger.

Any word on what fruit it will be?

Any idea what they are doing in the middle of the road in front of this new garage?

Some kind of direct ramp? Or just more left turn lanes.

Looks like they've built it to keep 3rd garage traffic separate from the Disney cast center.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't make this pedestrian bridge twice as wide as thge others as it will be expected to carry ALOT more people traffic than the others, and these skinny ones don't seem like they can hardly allow two strollers to pass each other
If we use the semi below for scale, that bridge should come in at 8' wide minimum. DS also does not see surges of guests like the parks do. It is more of a steady flow. This is also going to an overflow and CM garage making traffic on it fairly minimal for a good 46 weeks out of the year.

Y'all know there's a longer pedestrian bridge near the buses that's just 600 yards away, right? That crosses 9 lanes of traffic and a wider meridian. This one crosses 7 lanes.

Note that they left the footprint of the supports significantly wider than the road so this may not always be true.

The offset for the other bridge is 20 feet from the curb on one side and 45 feet on the other.

Judging by the pictures and mapping it on Google Earth, the present bridge is 245 feet and the new one will be 230 feet.

I'm not sure they are expecting it to carry that many people and there definitely shouldn't be many strollers.
Its been said before the aim is to get cast & store staff to park in the new garage to keep space available in the closer garages for customers/guests. Most staff won't have strollers with them. If they do successfully get cast to park over the road in the new garage then the other garages should only be full enough to need guests to park at the new third garage in particularly busy periods such as holidays.

It's weird they didn't just build the ramps going up in the opposite direction sdince the main access will be from the stoplight on the West side of the garage with no vehicle access from the east side by casting.

Would have avoided the need for that curved part and wasting space on the first floor to run all the entrance and exit traffic through the inside of the ground level
