Pre-Trip Think the undoable and do the unthinkable

I have some great news! Last November we decided not to go back to WDW in October 2015. The flights from Amsterdam to Orlando were much more expensive so we decided to postpone it to 2016. Maybe some short trips to DLP and a summer vacation in Southern Europe was what we wanted to do!

But when we got married in 2010 we said that in the year we are married 5 years we go to Florida!

Then we try to find a decent summer vacation and well.... when we compared it to the prices we have to pay for a WDW trip in October..... :)

So we thought, what the heck! Let's do it! And do it even better than last October! Let's go into a Disney hotel! And we are married 5 years by the time we are in WDW!

So guess what, we booked our trip for October 2015! WDW here we come again! We booked a room in the All Star Movie Resort from October 16th until October 24th :)

Update 02-02-2015: When we booked the trip we tried to book a room in the Port Orleans French Quater, but it was all fully booked. But last Friday I found out that the resort was open for bookings again. So I called the travel agency and guess what?? We upgraded to Port Orleans!!!!!!!

Update 24-06-2015: Guess what :) We booked another WDW trip! October 2016 will be the second future visit!! And with a lot of advantages :) 200$ gift card, free Memory Maker, Ultimate tickets for 14 days for the price of 7 and a free dining plan! And this time we are staying at Port Orleans River Side!!

Who:
Me, my wife Ria and our daugther Sacha (last time we went with a group of 7, now just our family)

We are really thrilled we are coming back to WDW! The feeling is very good but is getting better by the day!

YAY!!! I'm so happy for you! I will look for a trip report. BTW: GREAT choice on POFQ. I stayed there for 11 nights in November of 2014 and fell in love with it.

Jealous about U2 :) I can imagine..... never missed a tour since 1980 and the funny thing is while writing this msg U2 is on the radio :) LOL Great that you booked poly! And off course it will fly by! And when you more landmarks in the future like we do, time goes even faster!

POFQ is a great place to stay. By far my favorite and beats anything value or CBR.

After a long day at the parks and others are down for the night, grab a drink and have a seat at the frog pond in front of building 6.
Then sit and listen to the chorus of bugs and other creatures. It is one of those special quiet places.

Awesome. Going to see them here in the states in July. Heading to Boston to see them first, then taking our son for his first U2 show at Madison Square Garden in NYC!!

WOW!! And now I am jealous ;) Ok U2 in Amsterdam is great,but their are 3 holy places to see them!! And I only did one of the three places.... I went to About 30 U2 trips through the years and see them in lots of cities!

The absolute #1 is going to a hometown show in Dublin!! Did it 2 times ;) Second best stage to watch is MSG in New York..... And you are going to MSG!! And third is Barcelona, the crowd seems to be totally crazy overthere, but never watch a show there :)

Nice upgrade from All Star Movies :D, I shall be in the All Star Sports come Sept, cannot wait been 3 years since my last Disney trip and stayed at Sports last time too and will be my 2nd Solo trip to Disney as well :eek:

Thank for the compliment :) You will be sooner in the world than we do :) And wow 3 years.... before last year my prior trip was when I was 18...... so 25 years later.... lol... and going solo... wow.. it would be WWII in my house if went solo for Disney :)

So almost weekend here :) 8 nights of sleep and we can try to get the ADR's we want! So fingers crossed on this side of the ocean! Have a marvelous weekend you all!

Yeah that's the thing with WDW, especially for us Europeans... it isn't trip you plan fast :) Until last year we went to DLP almost 4 times a year, but we have been in WDW, well... DLP is on a lower level for us now..... so absolutely not 4 times a year.... I can guess we will do WDW once a year the next couple of years..... this year, like last year, during the halloween season! We also want to do a Christmas trip someday and we absolutely want to be in WDW during SSW! There are some plans developing for May 2017 :)

Our plans for ADR so far are BOG for a breakfast and Scifi for dinner!

Ohw yeah WDWMagic boards helps a lot! Great to read other ppl's PTR's and TR's and opinions from other ppl! And off course the youtube clips also helps a lot... and times flies by before you know :)
