Does anyone know what's going on with...
1) Walt Disney World: Then, Now, and Forever
2) The Art of Walt Disney World

They're still not available on amazon.com. Has anyone seen them at the parks?

3) Haunted Mansion Comic #8

I have #1-7. About a half a year ago, I emailed the publishing company, and they said they planned to go through #9. That could have changed, but is #8 even out yet?

AND just if you're interested, the Imagineering Field Guide to Disneyland came out on amazon two days ago.

So now that collection consists of...
Imagineering Field Guide to Magic Kingdom
Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot
Imagineering Field Guide to Animal Kingdom
Imagineering Field Guide to Disneyland

and coming April 28,2009 Imagineering Field Guide to Hollywood Studios.

I can verify that Walt Disney World: Then, Now, and Forever is out. I was flipping through its pages just a few nights ago at World of Disney.

So the Imagineering Field Guide to Disneyland is out? I hope they'll have it here at Walt Disney World.

Great to know. I'm mainly asking about these things because Christmas is coming up. Got to get the shopping done early.:animwink:
It doesn't help that they started playing Chirstmas music the day after Halloween at Walmart.

Nope, I've been looking for the Art of WDW book in the parks for a month now and haven't seen it. Also when I asked about it the CMs seemed to have no clue what I was talking about. :dazzle::dazzle::dazzle:

Not old, just vintage.
I bought Disney World: Then, Now, and Forever a few weeks ago. I was under the impression it is only being sold in the parks? (I can't recall the source where I heard that from though....:shrug:)

As for Art of Disney World, I never found it in the parks. I looked high and low, and every CM I asked looked at me like I was nuts. :shrug:

Then, Now and Forever is only available in park. Amazon can`t get it. Try Laughing Place's store maybe?

I was told Art of WDW had been mothballed as a project. Grr....

Laughing Place is way too expensive on Then, Now and Forever as they are with pretty much everything. As a previous poster said just call Disney mail order and tell them what you want and you get it for much less than at the Laughing Place store. Thats what I'm going to do. It looks like a great book.

I just took a look on eBay too. The book is really expensive there as well. The park retail price is $22.95, not the $40+ everyone else wants to charge! Hopefully Disney mail order can get you a copy. It is a great book indeed. I really enjoy flipping through the pages whenever I need a good Disney fix.

I'm going to email the publishing company on the Haunted Mansion Comic #8.

I emailed SLG publishing (who publishes the Haunted Mansion comics) and got the reply of...

"Disney is not renewing our license for new material, so there will be
no new Haunted Mansion comics from SLG."

Darn.:(

#1 and #2 are out of stock, but they have soft covers of #3-7 still.
Or they sell that $50 dollar hardcover book that I heard was really good (even though I don't have it).

The hard cover book includes books #1-6 in it.
