Cheers to the top executives at Disney with strange namesReally like Bob Eye-Gore? I’ve been saying I-Gurr this whole time. Also it’s it Chap-ek or ChApek?
Don't you call me Kevin Durant!Whatever you say cupcake...
That is what I was thinking this whole timeWarning, I may not have started with a coherent thought nor finished with it, I just went with it.
I didn't go to DHS until '16 and DCA till '18, so I only have known them in their current state. My understanding is that DCA was as the OP stated, the California experience with out loosing guests to the actual California experience. Imagine then Disney/MGM being a DFA-Disney Floridian Adventure. Miami beach, Art Deco building walk. Obviously, MGM was doing better than DCA, so they decided to start transforming DCA into MGM, but somewhere Disney went "Hey, DCA is about California, and people will experience the real over our fake. MGM is about movies, but everyone will go to UNI if they want back lot tours and movies. So lets just turn MGM into DHS make it about movies. Hey that works. Then lets make DCA like DHS, because people like DHS. Now, lets morph the two parks so both coasts get to enjoy the same thing, but keep a few things coast specific, so we can get guests money twice, so they have to go to each coast to experience those coast specific things." As the current CEO is about to walk out of the Imagineirs meeting "If you have a great idea but it doesn't fit anywhere else, then these parks will be the catch all"
