Hubby has been away since Thursday and will be away all week. So I've decided this is my time off from cooking a meal every night. Tonight, I just steamed a head of my favorite veggie, and that's what I had for dinner.

OK, that does look much healthier than anything I have posted lately, but I would have to douse it with hot sauce and sprinkle with pepper or something. :)

Flavorful, simple lunch today. Rotisserie chicken sandwich with bacon and pickled jalapenos, and some beef and veggie and tomatoes soup. I just took a can of beef and veggie soup, added a can of roasted tomatoes and a can of mixed veggies and let it simmer for a while. The good thing about combining stuff for soup is I have soup to eat for several days, the bad thing is I have soup to eat for several days.

You make the best of your leftovers, from anyone I know. You're creative and have a knack for knowing what things go well together. :hungry:

Thank you. I try to always use leftovers and like to try to make things at least a bit interesting. Now mind you, I have made some combinations that were simply inedible, but you don't know until you try.:(🍳
