The worst decision WDW ever made?

Doubtful
Fifteen years old is not an adult. Most adults could care less about rollercoasters.
Speak for yourself. I'm 32 and love them, My SO's grandparents, who are in there late 60's I might add, Love them too. If coasters weren't popular with adults there wouldn't be over 500 roller coasters in the US alone. Also lease we not forget that Universal studios and Islands of adventure both feature multiple roller coasters. Basically what I'm getting at is there is a market within Disney for more roller coasters and we should hope for more in the future to ensure the future success of WDW particularly with the 3 parks (DHS, DAK, EPCOT) that have a shortage of thrill rides.

Thank you!! My point exactly!!

I usually regret reading negative threads Still, the title is a tease - was there a seriously disastrous decision that set Walt Disney World back several years or ruined it for many people? Let me see what people are posting. . .
Nope, it is either the same stuff people can't agree about or little things that are hardly noticeable and certainly not THE WORST DECISION EVER, at least not in my opinion.

So, I will have to get back to this thread if and when the day comes that WDW makes a decision that makes me no longer support going and taking my family there.

Constantly adding hotel rooms and resorts while not expanding the parks enough. There is no more off season, the parks being constantly packed is miserable. Also hate the fact that I have to make dining reservations 6 months ahead of time, I miss arriving to the park and being able to eat what looked interesting to me that day.

In my opinion, the worst decision that Disney ever made was Fast Pass. In any way shape or form. It took away spontaneity and was the cause of a lot of anger and frustration. It was a bad move with good intentions. Just not thought out completely.

Oh, and closing a dark ride for a MEET AND GREET was pretty stupid too. If they want to close Snow White, fine, but at least give us an Alice in Wonderland dark ride in there or something!

I'll translate the title thread..."Stuff I don't like". Pretty common thread that appears under a variety of names. Yeah, I'm with you on avoiding negative threads again as they're pretty much the same thing over and over again. Other popular negative thread title translations include..."Something I didn't like happened at WDW to me"..."It's expensive and I don't like it"...and my favorite..."Everything used to be better." Yawn.

Without even thinking hard here are some;
Stiches Great Escape
Closing the Adventurers Club
Tiki Room under new management - enough said
Gutting Imagination
Taking the characters away at Liberty Tree Tavern

I was actually glad they got rid of the character at Liberty Tree, but the rest I pretty much agree with.

I also would like to note, that the whole decision making process on what goes in the part of EPCOT where it's supposed to be the house of tomorrow and all that futuristic/cutting edge tech is pretty bad, there's not really much innovation/cool stuff being shown there and it's usually pretty empty (and that area around there has an odd smell to it, not sure why).

Constance Hatchaway.
The interactive HM queue.
The CG Hitchhiking Ghosts in the mirror.
Mr. Toad.
Allowing Jack Sparrow to contaminate PotC so completely.
The abominable Imagination ride.
Maelstrom.
El Rio Del Tiempo (Surely there would be a more organic way of incorporating Jose, Donald, and Panchito-like putting them in the 'Small World Scene'?)

Oh and making a joke of the haunted mansion with the ridiculous queue.
It makes no sense to me-the ghosts aren't supposed to fully materialize until after Leota's seance.
Let's help write poems that rhyme!
Ha, the mariner drowned in the bathtub! The grave blows bubbles! That's hilarious!
I don't understand why they thought these were all necessary additions. It takes any sense of dread away, and kind of ruins that "Spooky/Lighthearted" feeling, and just tries to pander to the Gymboree crowd.

I see your point, but I think the Imagination Pavilion fiasco qualifies as a genuinely awful decision, considering how many complaints the attraction got.

Allow me to list:

Frozen at Epcot - I love characters as much as the next person but Epcot countries shouldn't mix with them too much.

Removing the bakery in the Magic Kingdom - The baked goods at Starbucks just doesn't cut it.

Removing the water feature in the lobby of the Polynesian resort - Loses the charm of the main building

Replacing the voiceover on the TTA - Not as good as the previous version

Getting rid of the Osborne Christmas lights (after 2015) - Wow, our family looks forward to it every year.

Oh and removing the Sorcerer’s Hat from Hollywood Studios - Our family is on that side of the argument.
