So is it safe to say we are going to keep seeing these “surprise” updates to parts of MK for the 50th. If so, that is cool.

What does the leaf mean? What does it have to do with Peter Pan?

Gold leaf is the type of gold that can be applied to surfaces for ornamental reasons. I'm not quite sure what the Peter Pan reference was for, either.

The picture in the press release looks like the Carousel to me....

Wonderful News!!!!! Let's hope more wonderful news in coming!

Not to be negative but there is one major setback that could keep the wheels from fully turning, keeping fireworks at bay, and that’s if Disney waits for the kids to get the vaccine.

We'll see more entertainment back before then. That would obviously be ideal, and may be needed before things are back to anything near 100% of what they were, but we should see some improvement in the near future without kids being vaccinated.

Should be interesting. You can have all your staff vaccinated so social distancing won't be an issue backstage, but would you bring it back to 100% because kids aren't vaccinated?

I think they would still limit everything until its available for kids. Disney doesn't want "Kids get sick at Disney"

I wonder which entertainment they will allow? I’m guessing FoF and HEA are not one of them since those for sure will draw the kids and close proximity to others.

MRFF/Something else when the Stage is Done? I'd love the Trolley Dancers back if MK can afford it! They don't draw a crowd for a long length of time....

The company is finally pulling the trigger? About time!

I’ll believe it when I see it though lol. I do wonder if WDW will really veer away from what the CDC says and allow nighttime shows again. They’ve been playing it extremely safe. Then again the CDC can change things in a month or two.

If the CDC doesn’t relax guidance soon, they risk being ignored completely. Most states are already ignoring them over hypocritical guidelines. Like, really? 3 feet is okay for kids and teachers/paraprofessionals but not other adults? How stupid. Grandparents weren’t waiting for permission to hug their grandkids after vaccination until the CDC gave the all-clear either.

No
Now that it’s confirmed vaccines will be available to all in April, in FL, hopefully that will be the key to entertainment returning! And further hope for any 50th entertainment! Fingers crossed.
It will DEFINITELY lead to more people (aka me) being comfortable with visiting the parks. And the sooner everyone is vaccinated, the sooner the masks are gone!

CA will also start vaccines for everyone as well next month! That should also help Disney’s decision on entertainment now that both coasts will be on the same page.

DL may want it, now.

I've got to think they'll run Magic Happens once they are doing entertainment (in general) since they barely ran it at all before the shutdown. It ran for less than a month, right?

Could they run more than one parade? Sure, they could, but given the entertainment CM cuts getting back to being able to do multiple parades (not to mention Fantasmic! and other shows) would IMHO be down the road a good bit.

Not that it means that PTN would be sent to WDW, just that I'm skeptical that DL will run it.
