The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Those are great!
The last time Disney actually put effort into their anniversary advertisements/campaigns for Walt Disney World was the "100 Years Of Magic" celebration (which technically honored WDW's 40th Anniversary that same time as Walt's 100th Birthday) between 2001 and 2003. 100 Years Of Magic was mainly hosted at Walt Disney World during that period and all felt genuine and inviting to the general public.

Heck, Disney even released an album titled "Walt Disney World Suit Of Dreams" as part of it.

Maybe Disneyland's 50th Anniversary might count, but that was celebrated at every Disney Park at the time.

Don't need too. UNPRECEDENTED DEMAND.
And, how long will that last exactly??? With Val. Coaster/CineCele at UOR, Electric Ocean returning tonight at SWO. Orlando looks great Entertainment wise north of WDW!

As far as what's in the commercial.......It's a great commercial for the Beacons Of Magic. IDK if it needs to be what TC wants(no offense to his opinion) I'm not looking for that right now. I'm wanting more things to reopen!!!!!

Nice commercial, but, if Disney really wants to enthuse a commercial announcing the return of fireworks, parades, character meet and greets plus character dining would have more impact. Yeah, announce a date for the return of the serious magic.
Except for the casual audience (the majority) who only go once a lifetime or maybe once or twice a decade, they probably don't even realize any of this stuff is currently "cut".

Fun fact: They ground up 50 thousand pixies to create all that iridescent dust!
Let me tell you.. those pixies make a heck of a noise in the blender! It can be disturbing for the young!
I am very meh on this.

I know we are not getting a lot of substance for this celebration. So, okay fine. Now let's play into the nostalgia. Play into old WDW. Show a kid at MK in the 70s now returning with grandkids or something. 80s Epcot, 90s MGM. Show the past and bring it home with the current/future.
Disney doesn’t want you to remember what Disney was like back then.

Are they going to mention... You know... Walt Disney at all?

Oh wait, they're more concerned with appearing ultra-woke and distancing themselves from Walt and his troubling ideals of a bygone era...

Can't wait to see how minimal effort/cost this whole 50th celebrations turns out to be.
Fitting that this was posted the same day as The Animator's Strike occurred 80 years ago.

Walt had much more to do with Disneyland than he did Walt Disney World (or, as it was referred to when he was alive, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, which "Disney World" was just a small part of).

The album was called "Magic in the Streets: Parade Memories". The Walt Disney World Suite of Dreams was just a part of it.

Would be awesome to get a new version for the 50th. Well, maybe not “Magic In The Streets” since, well, WDW lacks in parades. But there is a lot of nighttime shows they could release.

"Back at Magic Kingdom, it’s not immediately clear if the work to bring projection effects to Main Street USA is part of a standalone projection show, or if it’s part of a bigger project aimed at improving upon the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular by bringing projections to Main Street USA during that show.

Either way, our sources have said that Disney is going to be moving forward with the project as part of a renewed push to bring nighttime entertainment back to the theme parks. It’s unclear if the work is being done to have a show debut on October 1, 2021 or simply at some point during the 18-month celebration."
