The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Even their Anniversary Theme Song is more memorable than "The Magic Is Calling".
Yes it is. I will say we love SSE in the front at night. We sat there watching it for quite some time. When it came to Harmonious we bailed quickly and rode rides (extra hours at night). Disney can absolutely do it right when they want. For now we will grumble about the ugly barges but spend our time at the front at night.

They were even able to recreate the Walt Disney Pictures Logo recently during an Annual Passholder Event.

Disneylander here, no one likes Mix Magic.
It’s better than nothing but given a choice I can’t think of anyone who would take it over Forever, Remember Dreams, or any of the other shows.

My favorite place to watch Mickeys mix magic is from outside the park, it’s a great show from the hotel room without the obnoxious music.

Hi - is the plan for this celebration to still last through April 2023?
I don't see them pivoting, but who knows, I could see another sort of pivot though...

One where they announce that Disney Enchantment and Harmonious are exclusive 50th anniversary shows and will be retired next year. I honestly think the barges won't make it 2024.

What comes next?

Either a new nighttime show or Happily Ever After v2 returns (+Encanto music and recent Disney+ library animation effects). In EPCOT, maybe an updated version of Epcot Forever comes until they can figure out what to do at EPCOT long-term.

It kind of went mostly unnoticed, but the recent update to MDE not showing the daytime fountains was a clear indication that they are throwing in the towel with the barges. I really don't think they will put more money into the show at this point.

Note: If Encanto shows up in Harmonious as some have predicted, I'd say my prediction was incorrect.

We went in October for the start of it and plan to go in April 2023 (for flower/garden) and just laughing because now we will be there for the end of it!

At least will give me a chance to hear The Magic is Calling one more time! ( i love that song) And utilize the deluxe after-hours if still happening.

The deluxe evening hours were paid for by the 50th budget, but my gut says that it will be a permanent thing going forward.

I can't see this happening. I would love to be surprised, but they spent a lot of money constructing and installing those barges. They're not going to get rid of them after a couple of years barring absolute outrage by the majority of their customers (i.e. they are losing money because of them), and that hasn't happened. They might design a new show (although I don't think that will happen either; at most they'll just tweak Harmonious), but I would bet a lot of money that they're out there for at least a decade.

They can add platforms to them and boat people out there during the day for cocktails and light snacks. 😂

Barges, Beers and Bites.

I’d also be very surprised to see the barges leave. They are convinced any issues are due to show content.

Agree. I think we will see a few new scenes added. That is the usual first step in the playbook for fixing an unpopular show.
