Money has always been “anti-truth serum” -unlikely to changeThey also don’t have much more less to lose in terms of upward mobility or access.

some are finally catching onIt's funny how Bob Iger is acting like he's trying to clean up Bob Chapek's mess. When it is mostly his own mess. And the only reason Chapek is not allowed to dispute it is because he signed a non disclosure agreement.
If you know anything about Disney…you know that Iger is responsible for everything since about 2006It's funny how Bob Iger is acting like he's trying to clean up Bob Chapek's mess. Once a person ( Iger ) creates a narrative and the other person ( Chapek ) is mums the word for reasons explained , some fall hook line and sinker for the narrative. It's funny how Bob Iger is acting like he's trying to clean up Bob Chapek's mess. When it is mostly his own mess. And the only reason Chapek is not allowed to dispute it is because he signed a non disclosure agreement.
It’s profound insight from someone on the board when it had descent…which ironically coincided with Disney’s largest period of expansion and successProfound insight from someone who left the board 18 years ago and his job as CFO 33 years ago. Wonder if he's mad he wasn't chosen.
This is why Iger has continuously been CEO for decades... oh wait...
Care to point me to a succession plan during the last 15 for Disney that’s gone as planned? He’s been on the job now for well over a year when the clear dictate was to keep the seat warm until the successor was chosen- how’s that gone?Profound insight from someone who left the board 18 years ago and his job as CFO 33 years ago. Succession plan was absolutely 100% a requirement of Roy Disney when he stopped his proxy and Iger was given the job.Care to point me to a succession plan during the last 15 for Disney that’s gone as planned? He’s been on the job now for well over a year when the clear dictate was to keep the seat warm until the successor was chosen- how’s that gone?
Iger reportedly sought " advisement " from ex Disney execs Staggs and Mayer on succession plan recently. Ironic that both left Disney when Board gave them no confidence in CEO role at Disney.Care to point me to a succession plan during the last 15 for Disney that’s gone as planned? You missed the point of the interview…Iger reportedly sought " advisement " from ex Disney execs Staggs and Mayer on succession plan recently. Ironic that both left Disney when Board gave them no confidence in CEO role at Disney.
You crafted that "gone as planned" so as to exclude Chapek so as to make your cherry-picked point.Care to point me to a succession plan during the last 15 for Disney that’s gone as planned?
Here’s the cherry pick:You crafted that "gone as planned" so as to exclude Chapek so as to make your cherry-picked point.
Are you saying Iger is a fool, coward, and egomaniac? Here’s the cherry pick:
Bob thought the world was ending (as confirmed by what an absolute idiot later told Bob Woodward) and quit at newsdump on 2/25/20…the world shut down on 3/15/20
He jumped…was the only ceo to do it…has looked the fool ever since
Here’s more lies from the king of succession:
Bob Iger plans to step down from Disney when two-year contract ends
Disney CEO Bob Iger said Thursday that he has no plans to stay on to lead the entertainment giant for longer than his two-year contract. Iger, who ran Disney for 15 years, was succeeded by Bob Chap…thehill.com
He’s literally the biggest business loser of covid…it’s hard to dispute. It looks worse everyday. The leave and return set him up to where the flaws in his management have all been exposed. His precious ego and legacy. Now people want him ousted and it’s not going away. Are you saying Iger is a fool, coward, and egomaniac?
SaY iT IsNt sO!!
I did nothing of the sort. It seems the history of the last decade and a half shows he’s done everything to undercut his potential successor (even Chapek - “planned” or not). If it keeps recurring it’s not a coincidence. You crafted that "gone as planned" so as to exclude Chapek so as to make your cherry-picked point.
And once Iger left, how did he force Chapek out?I did nothing of the sort. It seems the history of the last decade and a half shows he’s done everything to undercut his potential successor (even Chapek - “planned” or not). If it keeps recurring it’s not a coincidence.
If I recall correctly Chapek as CEO was in favor of massive permanent cast layoffs during Covid only to be undermined by Iger ? who still had his exec office at Burbank with the only one equipped with bath and shower. If I were Chapek a cold shower would help melt the steam coming out of his bald head and ears. He’s literally the biggest business loser of covid…it’s hard to dispute. It looks worse everyday. The leave and return set him up to where the flaws in his management have all been exposed. His precious ego and legacy. Now people want him ousted and it’s not going away.
It’s literally his worst nightmare.
1) He never “left”And once Iger left, how did he force Chapek out?
No. He left, finally after an extra year on the board.1) He never “left”
2) He undercut him from the outset
3) Because he was a constant palace whisperer to the BOD
It’s all pretty well documented.
Disney's wildest ride: Iger, Chapek and the making of an epic succession mess
Here's the inside story of the executive chaos at Disney over the past few years — and how it could shape the fate of the iconic entertainment company.www.cnbc.com
Stop already. Everyone knows Chapek never did anything and was just an innocent pawn. It was absolutely Iger’s evil genius plan for Chapek to restructure the company into an accountants wet dream, rule the company with an iron spreadsheet, layoff many of the long term employees, anger and alienate a large chunk of the remaining work force, drive out all the talent in Imagineering, bumble into a fight with the state of Florida and call the guests fat and/or undesirable. And once Iger left, how did he force Chapek out?
