The Ultimate Disney Project!!!

One summer, I became bored as most teenagers do. I had recently visited the Walt Disney World complex in Florida and had fallen in love with it for the second time, but I did notice that, even though Disney theme parks are the best in the world, there is limitless room for improvement and innovation. I have always thought that there should be a third Disneyland park on American soil. One that would have all the advantages of modern technology, but also would keep true to Walt's original structure.

I have also cooked up what would become the ultimate Disney theme park, that would be a true risk financially for Disney today (much like the ones Walt used to make).

The first park would take the original Disneyland concept but be much more elaborate as Walt would have originally liked to have done it.

The second would be in a different complex. It would be an enormous park that would be a challenge to cover in even a five day period. It would literally transport guests into the worlds of every single animated classic made in Disney history, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Chicken Little. The surrounding Resort hotels would even be famous landmarks from the animated classics (ex. The Sultan's Royal Palace).

The third theme park would be a complete combination of classic rides that (originally) do not relate to any film or concept seen before (ex: Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, & Pirates of the Caribbean). Concerning its theme, think A lot of Adventureland meets a lot of Frontierland meets a little of Tomorrowland and Tokyo Disney Sea, and even small elements of Fantasyland and Main Street, U.S.A. In this realm, Mickey does not govern Toontown. Here it is the grungy and seedy place that was seen in the 1988 film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit! Note that there would be minimal character tie-ins, except maybe a possible area for the Pixar films.

The new Disneyland (as stated above) would be larger than any Magic Kingdom before, but for the most part, attractions, restaurants, and shopping would remain within the boundaries of the Walt Disney World Railroad.

The two mega parks (on the exception of the latter) would go beyond the boundaries of the railroad, a concept that has obviously never been considered by the Disney Imagineers elsewhere.

Later in this thread, I will give out my pre-existing ideas, ask for help (lol), and also, ask for outsider opinions (good & bad).

Final Draft for Adventureland

Descriptions for the attractions, eateries, and shops will be posted sometime tomorrow. Trust me, they'll be worth a look. Until then, I am in desperate need of ideas and concepts. Or, if you feel that something needs a name change, I have left something out, I need to go less on something or put more emphasis in the other, please let me know. Maybe one day I can send my ideas into the Disney Imagineering Dept. But, I need your help in making my concept for the ultimate Disney experience possible. So, please, please, please send me some replies.

ADVENTURELAND

Attractions:

Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular:
Taken from Disney’s California Adventure and Tokyo Disney Sea, the Aladdin – Musical Spectacular is the brilliant retelling of the 1992 Disney masterpiece, Aladdin, complete with wonderful staging and the same fantastic musical score from the movie. Located inside the ornate Magic Lamp Theater (the focal point of Agrabah Plaza), this promises to be one of the best shows on the Disneyland property. After the show be sure to meet your favorite characters from Aladdin in the main entrance to the theater and if hunger calls, travel upstairs to the Agrabah Café, a magnificently themed table service restaurant that holds a nightly character dinner featuring Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, Genie, and even the villainous Jafar!

Captain Hook’s Pirate Ship:
Hop aboard the Jolly Roger for a high seas adventure on the Neverland Lagoon. Once on board, you’ll meet a crew of swashbuckling buccaneers including Captain Hook and his bumbling assistant, Mr. Smee. On your journey you sail past mermaid lagoons and the jungles of the Lost River Delta before pillaging the helpless travelers on the Sailing Ship Columbia. The highlight of the trip is your journey into the treasure-filled caverns of Skull Rock. Inside the cave, Captain Hook successfully locates Peter Pan’s hidden treasure and takes Wendy and the Lost Boys captive. In the end, the plan is foiled, Peter Pan commandeers the ship back to port, and poor Captain Hook is left fleeing for his life from the hungry Crocodile that left him with only one hand. When you reach the shore, be sure to enjoy a meet and greet with Peter Pan, Wendy, and the Lost Boys. You may even be able to find Hook and Mr. Smee sulking in the area near Pirates of the Caribbean while the other members of the crew can be found lurking around Pirate Cove.

The Enchanted Tiki Room:
Join your 'fowl' hosts "Aladdin's" loud-mouthed parrot Iago and Zazu, the upright hornbill from "The Lion King." They pair up to inject some hipness into the Tiki Room stage show famous for its sweet serenading. Enjoy new surprises and fun in the "tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room!" Unlike its Disneyland and Walt Disney World counterparts, this Enchanted Tiki Room would integrate Iago and Zazu into the show without eliminating elements from the original presentation.

Expedition Everest
Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
Overlooking the realm of Adventureland, Expedition Everest beckons park guests to experience the ultimate Adventure thrill ride. Take on the treacherous terrain of the towering Forbidden Mountain in this high-altitude, high-speed train adventure. Nail-biting hairpin turns hurl you forward toward the peak and then, just when you think it couldn't get more thrilling - backward! The mountain's full of surprises: Beware the snarling beast that watches over his domain... the Yeti!

Festival of the Lion King
Plunge right into the middle of the action in this cleverly staged in-the-round production featuring songs from the film and a cast of familiar faces, including Simba, Timon and Pumbaa. Combining the pageantry of a parade with all the excitement of a tribal celebration, this is a lavish, high-energy spectacle created through song, dance and specialty performances.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug!
See the world through a bug’s eye as you peek into the hilarious and dazzling 3-D world of amazing and amusing insects as they astound you with one-of-a-king stage show. Laugh at the fun and startling in-theater effects like overhead giant spiders! The only thing that will “bug” you is if you miss it! Unlike its Animal Kingdom counterpart, you do not access this show through the Tree of Life. Instead, you enter by means of a large hollow log that leads park guests through the intricate tunnels of Flick and Princess Atta’s anthill home.

The Indiana Jones Adventure:
Temple of the Crystal Skull
Brave the wrath of Mara as you ride your jungle transport through the legendary lost temple in search of mystical powers. Be on the lookout for ancient pitfalls like poisonous darts, screaming mummies and the Cavern of Bubbling Death-your survival depends on it!
The Jungle Book – An Untamed Musical in the Wild:

Jungle Cruise
Enter a Colonial outpost in a remote section of forest, where cut-rate guides hold cargo and tourists go upriver for a cruise you won’t soon forget. The steady hand and sharp wit of your riverboat Skipper guide you through the treacherous perils of the Lost Rivers of the World. En route, take an excursion down the Irrawady River of Burma and happen upon the ancient shrine of the Crystal Skull, brave the hippopotamus-filled waters of the Congo, float among the rain forests of the Amazon, and the most dangerous part of your journey: “the return to civilization”.

Pirate’s Beach:
Gather here with young buccaneers for outdoor activities with a pirate twist.

Pirates of the Caribbean:
Set sail from an 1960s Louisiana Bayou as a rag-tag band of marauding pirates has overtaken a Caribbean village, ransacking and setting ablaze everything in sight – including yer boat if yer not careful, matey!

Sindbad’s Seven Voyages:
Ever dreamed of sailing to the fabled lands of the "Arabian Nights"? Here is your chance to embark as Sindbad's crew on a series of exciting voyages to discover exotic realms beyond imagination.

Swiss Family Treehouse:
Transport yourself into the lives of the Swiss Family Robinson who were tossed onto a deserted South Seas island. Not only does the family make do – but they build a treehouse and a life for themselves that is the envy of all who visit. You'll never want to "leaf."

Lord of the Apes: This unique roller coaster attraction offers guests a probing journey into the legend of Tarzan. Guests enter the attraction by way of a cascading waterfall, much like the way guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida enter the Rainforest Cafe. The ride begin slowly, passing through the serene African jungles before taking to the tangled treetops of the forest's canopy. Guests move through the foliage in the same way Tarzan does. Up, down, around, sideways, upside down, and over your car goes until the grand finish which sends guests soaring over the trees, waterfalls, and rocks below.

Tarzan's Treehouse:
Explore the upper branches of Tarzan’s Treehouse. Climb the ramp higher into the tree to discover the secrets of Tarzan’s past, his life with Jane and their animal friends.
Observe Jane’s sketches that tell Tarzan’s enthralling story of survival, Monkey around with various ingenious devices such as musical pots and pans and the “Tarzan Yella-phone” and beware the leopard, Sabor

Entertainment:

Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade
Get in on the revelry as this musical street party blasts through Adventureland. This rompin' and rollin' afternoon parade is a high-energy imaginative celebration of the wild spirit of the animal kingdom. Starring Rafiki, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Goofy and over sixty Cast Members! It's jammin'!

Overview:

:king: :king: A COMPLETE OVERVIEW OF ADVENTURELAND :king: :king:

Upon passing through the threshold of Adventureland, guests are immediately transported to the enchanted city of Agrabah. At first glance, it seems that Adventureland is only themed to Aladdin, but upon further inspection a small stairway surrounded by date palms and Arabian towers, a whole new world of Adventure awaits. Outside of Agrabah, one finds themselves at a crossroad.

To the left, you find an immense jungle, home to attractions like Tarzan's Treehouse and Disney's The Jungle Book - An Untamed Musical in the Wild. Peeking out of the jungle is the man-village of Anandapur which holds the forbidden Mount Everest attraction.

Straight ahead and one level down from the rest of the land is the watery Lost River Delta, which is home to attractions like Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Treehouse, and The Indiana Jones Adventure.

Trailing off to the right is an enchanting Polynesian village where guests can dine with Lilo and Stitch or visit the crooning birds at the Enchanted Tiki Room. If one continues through th Polynesian village, you find yourself at another junction. To the left, a path tha graces the Lost River Delta area leads guests to Camp Minnie-Mickey, home of Festival of the Lion King and It's Tough to Be a Bug, and straight ahead from the village is the swashbuckling land of buckaneers and treasure hunts known as Pirate Cove.
Whichever direction one takes, adventure is waiting...

New Attractions, Entertainment, Dining, & Shops to the Adventureland area.

Aladdin's Enchanted Passage - Taken from Disneyland Paris this self-guided tour of Agrabah's inner layers is a whimical journey into the world of Aladdin.

Caravan Carrousel- A favorite family attraction from Tokyo DisneySea, Caravan Carrousel takes the form of a classic American carrousel, but with an Arabian flair. Look for Abu, Iago, Raja, and even the Genie when choosing which "horse" you want to ride.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin - Unlike its Disneyland and Walt Disney World counterparts, my Magic Carpets of Aladdin is situated on top of Caravan Carousel. The attraction actually gives guests a magical view of the whole Disneyland park (not just Adventureland).
Abu's Sweets

Camp Minnie-Mickey - As oppossed to its Animal Kingdom counterpart, Camp Minnie-Mickey has more of a jungle excursion feel. This area will house It's Tough to be A Bug, Festival of the Lion King, and the same trails from the original AK concept.

New Park Update

Here is the Aladdin area for my second Disney theme park, The Wonderful World of Disney Park. Note that this is only one of many lands that will grace the property!!! There is still room for ideas and concepts you might want to contribute!!!

Welcome to Agrabah – a lush, tree-filled oasis in the desert, where date palms grow and waters flow like silver in the twilight. It is a place of mystery and wonder, where a whole new world of adventure, fantasy, and excitement awaits within the walls of this enchanted city.
Welcoming guests into Agrabah is a magnificent Arabian partition graced with two wooden gates that are always open to the weary traveler. Upon entering the city, a lengthy main road leads voyagers to the gates of the Sultan’s Royal Palace, which doubles as a destination for park guests and a place to stay for resort guests. Yes, the Sultan’s Royal Palace is a Resort at the Wonderful World of Disney property, but I’ll get to that later.
Along your way through the city you’ll pass a multitude of pleasant diversions including:

Caravan Carousel: (Attraction)
At this fanciful two-level carousel located in the beautiful palatial courtyard, not only will you have an opportunity to ride unique animals such as stately camels and majestic elephants, but also the Genie.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: (Attraction)
Take a flight of fancy aboard your very own magic carpet. Atop the Caravan Carousel, this whimsical spin above the enchanted city of Agrabah is filled with ups and downs as you control both the pitch and height of the flight. It’s better than getting three wishes!
Aladdin’s Enchanted Passage: (Attraction)
Taken from Disneyland Paris this miniscule but timeless attraction retells the tale of Disney’s 1992 classic, Aladdin through a series of miniature models. This time, the tale is told a bit more vividly and the atmosphere will be augmented to match the scope of Agrabah. The first guests who take the tour each day will enjoy a tour guided by Aladdin himself.
Agrabah Marketplace: (Shopping)
Lining the streets of Agrabah is an ongoing bazaar featuring Arabian imports and Aladdin inspired gifts. Everything is not what it seems, however. Many alcoves and secret passages wait to be discovered in this enchanted market. With the unique settings of Princess Jasmine's chamber on one side and Aladdin's makeshift hovel on the other side, atmosphere and excitement are everywhere. If you look hard enough, one will discover a secret passage that leads guests to Aladdin’s secret haven from the film. Inside, you can enjoy views of the Sultan’s Royal Palace and a meet and greet with Aladdin and Princess Jasmine (dressed in peasant garb), and occasionally, Abu.
Open Sesame: (Dining)
A traditional American fast food eatery with an Arabian theme
Abu’s Sweets: ([Shopping, Snacks)
Visit Abu's own heaven on earth in this delightful shop filled with his favorite sweets and treat yourself with "heavenly rewards." Abu himself hangs by his tail in front of the door to greet Guests
Casbah Food Court: (Dining)
At this exotic setting of a bustle Arabian marketplace, a variety of distinct food stalls offer an assortment of menu choices. Flying Carpet Curry specializes in curry dishes, the Royal Tandoor serves tandoori chicken, and selections of fried noodle and rice dishes are the fare at The Noodle Charmer.

Diamond in the Rough NEW!!!
An elaborate roller coaster journey through the inner realms of the Cave of Wonders that takes guests on a tumultuous quest to find the elusive magic lamp. A full description is coming soon

If one chooses to explore the Sultan’s Royal Palace they will discover a whole new world (pun intended) of attractions including some of the best attractions and dining options in the entire complex. Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular is presented in the Arabian Nights Theatre; The Blue Diamond Restaurant presents a unique dining experience for both families and adults traveling without children; Sultan’s Oasis presents one of the most regal quick-service options on property; and the Magic Lamp Gifts features souvenirs exclusively themed to Disney’s 1992 classic, Aladdin and the Wonderful World of Disney Theme Park, while Ali Ababwa’s features a bounty of Arabian imports.

Detailed Descriptions of Attractions within the Sultan’s Royal Palace Resort and Spa:

40-minute show features larger-than-life scenes
Breathtaking sets, amazing stage effects, and an action-packed script
Mesmerizing musical dance numbers

A brand new song written by composer Alan Menken just for “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular”
An unforgettable experience your whole family will love
Ali Ababwa’s
A low-lit gift shop featuring Arabian imports.
The Blue Diamond Restaurant:
Encompassing an entire tower itself, the Blue Diamond Restaurant provides one of the most unique dining experiences in Disney history. The first level of the restaurant holds character meals throughout the day featuring Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Abu, Sultan, and the villainous Jafar. Breakfast is an all you care to eat buffet featuring classic American favorites; lunch is a family style buffet featuring American dishes with Arabian flair, and dinner features pre-plated Arabian dishes complemented with a divine dessert plate. The décor here is themed to the interior of Genie’s Magic Lamp and on the restaurants back wall is an enormous widescreen projection screen that plays Aladdin from open to close. The upper level is an adult’s only dining experience that provides peaceful views of Agrabah and a selection of gourmet Arabic cuisine. The theme here is Arabian royalty and a soothing musical score delights diners throughout meals. On occasion, belly dancers and other entertainment will be featured.
Magic Lamp Gifts:
Featuring souvenirs exclusively themed to Disney’s Aladdin, this airy gift shop is the place for Aladdin aficionados!
Sultan’s Oasis:
Overlooking the gardens of the Sultan’s Royal Palace, this counter service restaurant is the perfect place for voyagers to relax while enjoying pita sandwiches along with fresh juices or an original blend of juice drinks.

Rising out of a tropical oasis on one side and presiding over the enchanted city of Agrabah on another, the Sultan’s Royal Palace beckons park guests to enter a whole new world of adventure and excitement! Rooms are located in nine towers, each categorized by room type: Two towers hold the deluxe guest rooms and the luxurious palace suites; four towers hold moderate rooms; and three rooms hold value suites and rooms for guests with disabilities. Scattered outside the palace (but within the palace walls), located across from the two other royal gardens are three sets of exclusive villas. On the palace’s left side, one will find the Menagerie, a luxurious outdoor complex holding an enormous pool (shaped like the Genie’s Magic Lamp), a shaded outdoor spa, and beautifully landscaped garden. Two towers hold the Arabian Nights Theater, which features Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular. Two gift shops occupy two more towers (Ali Ababwa’s and Magic Lamp Gifts), an indoor spa (and the Scarab Lounge) can be found in a secluded tower room on the palace’s far right side, while a kid’s club can be found on the opposite side. The Blue Diamond Restaurant occupies a tower that overlooks the city of Agrabah as well as The Sand in the Glass, an elaborate teen’s club themed to Jafar’s secret lair. An exclusive Royal Garden fills up the space on the palace’s right side, and two other gardens (featuring pools shaped like a scarab and a magic carpet) flank the Palace Landing.

A DETAILED PICTURE IS COMING SOON!

Thanks, I'll start working on them today; I have a really busy schedule (plus I am a perfectionist) so it may be a few weeks before I have some, but Spring Break is coming up soon and that will give me plenty of time to draw. Do you have any comments, suggestions, constructive criticism concerning my ideas? I really am in need of some feedback.

A new addition to The Sultan's Royal Palace Resort and Spa:

High atop the Palace's highest tower is Rajah's, a regal restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. The restaurant is exclusive to adults or adults traveling with older children and there would also be a dress code required. This eatery is inspired by the California Grill and Citricos (located at the Contemporary and Grand Floridian Resorts at the Walt Disney World Complex).

Also: Should The Sultan's Royal Palace be changed to something along the lines of "The Grand Arabian Resort". I think it seems tacky to put Resort and Spa after The Sultan's Royal Palace. Should it be called the Grand Arabian Resort and The Sultan's Royal Palace. What about The Grand Arabian Resort and Spa at the Sultan's Royal Palace? I need some feedback really badly. If you have other ideas, please post them.

Currently, what used to be called The Sultan's Royal Palace Resort and Spa has now been changed to... The Grand Arabian Resort and Spa at The Sultan's Royal Palace. Suggestions and new ideas are still needed.

Your ideas seem great so far. I can't wait to hear more about your parks and your concept designs. I may have missed it in all those threads but what castle are u using. In past threads you can see that I'm for fresh and original ideas. I hope you have a stunningly new castle to showoff your park as a separate place from the other two in the US already. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more.

I am not currently sure.

It all depends which Disney castle I use. I may end up doing concepts for each castle and then decide some other time; actually, in my second theme park (The Wonderful World of Disney Theme Park), all the castles will be used, some even being resort destinations (see The Grand Arabian Resort and Spa at The Sultan's Royal Palace). In my first park (Disneyland) it all hangs in the balance. I would only use Cinderella Castle if the park would be placed overseas in a country that doesn't feature any Disney influence. Due to the lack of endearment, I would use the Prince's Castle in the Clouds concept from Snow White as opposed to The Evil Queen's Castle (even though that would be really cool). Concerning King Stefan's Castle, see my reasons for Cinderella Castle. There would be a slight possiblility of theming Fantasyland around the Little Mermaid (think Prince Eric's seaside palace), but given I am taking the "Mermaid Lagoon" concept from Tokyo DisneySea, I may not because I don't neccessarily want a specific film taking over the park. My only reasons for not using the Beast's Castle would be that other would-be Imagineers on this site are using it (however I think I could bring my own originality to it). I would definately not use Aladdin (since he has his own corner of the world in Adventureland). INTERESTING FACT - at one point I considered using Neverland as the centerpiece (but felt it too distant from Walt's Original Concept).

I'll keep you posted, but for now it is leaning towards Snow White's Castle in the Clouds, the Beast's Castle (think the end of the film, not the beginning), or a newly designed concept of Cinderella Castle (which would also go through a name change).

Nothing is engraved in stone (given I still have Frontierland, The Blue Bayou (aka New Orlean's Square), and Frontierland to design!

P.S. Keep me posted on your ideas and concepts, I enjoy the feedback!:king:
