Apple makes a ton of money so someone is buying their products somewhere.
Yeah. They are buying Apple stuff.

:D

Of course an Apple store in DTD would make a ton of money. If Apple wants to build one then they should. I'll never go in and I will still poke fun at those that do, but that is just me. Tons of people will flock to this silly thing. Again, just because I think it is silly it doesn't mean it will not be successful. There are plenty of shops at DTD that I do not like and they are making money.

Building across the "springs" from Morimoto Asia.

Buildings at the far end of the bridge between Raglan Road and Morimoto Asia. A circle of wires is hanging from the light pole in the foreground, not a circle on the photo.

Building across the "springs" from Raglan Road. The bottom surface of the "springs" river is being painted, probably to reflect light. Note the pillars are covered to protect from being painted.

Detailed work ongoing at the bottom of the Disney Springs river.

The Disney bus transportation terminals. More pavement added.

At the near end of the Disney bus transportation terminals, this waiting area with an overhanging roof is taking shape near the existing roadway at the Orange garage.

painting looks to be done, as a natural spring is got some blue tones in the shallows, as is painted here... will also make the water seem deeper than it is, done also to help the cycle time of the water (keep it moving and filtered, no green)

For people kvetching about Apple, they're aiming for the foreign tourist market. Take one step into the Apple Store at Florida Mall or Mall at Millenia and you're in Rio.... or some other South American Country. Doesnt matter what season out of the year it is, those stores are packed beyond belief with tourists.

Disney Springs is meant to compete and aim for that, not for what Disney fans want.

Just wanted to share through the grapevine... the rumors about a major soda brand setting up shop in the Springs aren't far off the mark. At all.
It was confirmed in another thread that Coke is the owner/tenant of the mystery glass box pavilion.

Here's the post:
Wow, do I feel stupid now, you are 100% correct. Permit filed back in June and doesn't expire until June 2016. Mystery solved!

Well it will be one store I defiantly wont be going into.. Vastly over priced (and better items from other manufacturers) and usually just full of people playing with the items with no intention of buying them.
The store would make bank with the Brazalian tourists wanting to buy Apple devices since Apple stuff is usually a lot more expensive overseas.

I'm wondering if they're going to try and get the bus terminals open as soon as they can so they can route the buses there and can start work on whatever needs to be built at the old bus terminal (CM costuming/support buildings, if I recall correctly). Does it look like they're also working on getting the approach and exit roadways to this area done?

Does anyone have the plans from the premits forthe bus terminal? it looks like theyve drastically changed the layout from the initial designs

plan is for stores to be built on the old marketplace bus terminal expanding the retail of the marketplace

support building is going where a current surface lot is near LBV and hotel plaza intersection

I haven't seen any. The permits we get to see generally don't have those sorts of details.

The most recent master plan from this site...and easily found on google images shows the bus loop the way it's being built now. Also, I've never seen a plan that showed shops replacing the Marketplace bus terminal.

This plan shows the shops on the bus depot, and the bus drop off going north/south vs the east/west that they are building them now. I wonder why they changed the direction. At further inspection, looks like the change of design allowed the creation of a few extra shops for the town center near planet hollywood.

Thank the good lord they are not allowing swimming in the springs! How awful it would be to have that ruin the view of this nice new water feature. You want to swim, go across the street to Typhoon.

springs are for enjoying either by swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, tubing.

they aren't meant to just be looked at from a distance

The north-south bus drop off required the access to the loops to be two-way traffic that buses had to cross in order to leave. The East-West arrangement allows for one-way traffic and no crossing of traffic.
