The Town Center construction

We always enjoyed Downtown Disney, but I'm really looking forward to taking in some food, drink, entertainment and shopping at Disney Springs. I'm excited about several of the new options, and it's great to see how aesthetically pleasing it's going to be.

Can we take bets on how long it is before they catch someone swimming in the springs? ;)
With all the alcohol flowing in that area, it shouldn't be that long. Disney Springs - The Landing especially - has basically turned into a version of the World Showcase (and it shows in the different food options).

I hope to get a look at this in person next month. I should be down for my annual work trip and maybe even see some more progress. It's shaping up nicely, but a finished product is definitely overdue.

I wasn't too pleased with the new name, but those pictures make me forget about that issue. The crystal blue water and tropical leaves look like paradise considering outside my house the trees are barren, and the clouds look like they are about to dump snow.

I know what you mean. A few hours ago I couldn't see across the street it was snowing so hard.

What a beautiful place to spend some time away from the parks. We have two nights planned there during our March trip. Can't wait to see how much more they can get done in 59 days!

Soooooooooo pretty! I can't wait to see what the end product looks like if those foam things really are bubblers like people have reported.

I'm still devastated that this super giant tree has died. It's looked like this for quite some time now and there's still no trace of green on it. Since it hasn't been removed, I'm still holding out a tiny bit of hope that they can save it, but yeah.

This plan shows the shops on the bus depot, and the bus drop off going north/south vs the east/west that they are building them now. I wonder why they changed the direction. At further inspection, looks like the change of design allowed the creation of a few extra shops for the town center near planet hollywood.

springs are for enjoying either by swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, tubing.

they aren't meant to just be looked at from a distance

You are right Springs are for enjoying...just one thing they're NOT Springs :) , not that we won't see someone try to swim in it!

The water looks great... I'm also really liking the classy architecture around it. This new area looks to be a definite theming win!
