Hey everyone! Tried to get some pictures today at Disney Springs. I was rushing to an interview so this is all I had time to get. :)

Photo update as of Wednesday, Nov 11. The bridge across the Springs river. The large building in the background with the red tile roof is taking on a definite Spanish architecture.

In the future Disney bus transportation area, the long structure on the left has a matching one on the right, which will become the waiting areas for Disney resort bus transportation.
IMG_6777.JPG

The shoreline at the Marketplace around Buena Visa Lake is getting horizontal boards to hide the concrete and piping that was exposed to guests for years. Gives the waterfront a more uniform and finished look.

IMG_6799.JPG

In the below photo, work is still ongoing and you can see the pipes that are being hidden behind the boards.

IMG_6803.JPG

As mentioned elsewhere, with the completion of the pedestrian bridge over Hotel Plaza Blvd and Buena Visa Drive, a fence is being installed at the road intersection to prevent guests from using the intersection as a crosswalk.

IMG_6804.JPG

Finally, Santa's Chalet is being installed along the waterfront across from Ghirardelli's Ice Cream Shop. The tables and chairs previously in this area are relocated at the World of Disney east exit door area.

Why is that site taking a helicopter over Disney springs? You can just go up in the balloon to get those shots. And next time their taking flight over Hollywood studios which has had no work begin? Great! How about they fly over AK where everyone wants to see?? Nahhh

I assume they did one trip over all the Orlando parks. They did do AK, there is a picture in the Avatar forum of it. I am actually interesting in seeing the DHS one to see if anything has been done backstage.

Photo update as of Wednesday, Nov. 18. A street level view of Disney Springs from across Buena Visa Drive at the Speedway (Hess) gas station intersection. Spanish clay tile roofs on the left and right, however, notice the copper "turret" dome being installed on the roof just to the right of photo center.

Concrete already being poured for the bus transportation center.

For well over a year, this awkward construction fence has been taking up space in the plaza in front of T-Rex Café. It will soon be removed, as construction crews were putting the finishing touches on pavement behind the fence, which will finally open up this area. See two photos below.

IMG_6905.JPG

The new pavement behind the construction fence is in the foreground here. This narrow area between T-Rex Café (on the right) and the new building on the left contains air conditioning equipment, so it will probably be hidden in the future. Or perhaps the equipment is just being staged at this location, to be moved elsewhere. For now, it's a nice view of the building exteriors in the background.

looks like they changed the design of this area since the initial layout, as the concrete appears to be going east to west versus north to south in the original layout

seems like it would've been better to put this equipment on the roof or further from the guests as i'm sure its quite noisey

or maybe it woulda been better to build a central cooling plant, like MK has rather than having to have tons of individual units

That Fox Blocks building is weird with the CMU walls being built right next to the ICF walls. I'm curious to see what this turns out to be.

I'm digging what appears to be the main pedestrian entrance to The Town Center from the bus depot. It looks like it's reminiscent of the Main Street train station entrance to the MK with the compression and release trick.

Thanks for this layover! For years since this announcement I've had trouble picturing exactly where everything was going to end up. This was perfect!

any chance that site has any other docs, would be awesome to see more detailed layouts of the town center

There was an UGG one not too long ago, but the site plan was less detailed. I'm sure as time goes on and more tenants come up, we'll see more of these around.

One of the contracting sites I frequent had documents up for Lilly Pulitzer, here's the site plan that was enclosed within.
Did we know about Tommy Bahama already? I didn't know about Ugg, either.

Looks like those CMU walls surrounding the mystery building are forming up a BOH service yard, so that makes a bit more sense.

@wdwmagic has reported about both Tommy Bahama and Ugg (as well as Zara), but this is the first we've known as far as location.

It also seems as if that Disney Burger concept from the early prospective tentants board is coming to reality.

Too many stores to keep track of. :) I missed those but knew Zara and assumed that location due to size.

I was holding out hope that burger place would be Shake Shack. Well, I still am. :)

As someone who has sifted through a whole lot of mall leasing plans in my time, it's very odd Disney chose to divvy out the spaces in 2,300 square foot increments and wait for someone to lease them. I imagine there will be lots of combining/partitioning, as that size isn't a very common one for retailers.
