Trip Report The Sweet 16th(with a few surprises thrown in)!!

Hello friends!! Welcome one & all to my 2nd trip report!! I'm excited to have you all here!!

I couldn't tell you the last time I went in this store. It's like a living nightmare in my opinion. I have never liked the layout of it. I think it is a very confusing store. H wanted to go in so we did.

Wow--my opinion has totally changed!! I was really impressed with it. It's not completed yet but I was amazed at what I saw. It is so much more open.

I thought this outfit was so cute. I wished there was a little girl in my family that was that size. I wanted to buy it so bad!!

It was nice & I’m glad I did it but I think it would be quite some time before I do it again bc of the cost. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was a group of people splitting the bill. Between the cost & tip it is definitely some premium fun!!

Noooo-I did not. That would be bad for me. On this trip I caved in & bought the clutch(but I’m using it as a wallet) to match my purse. I can’t afford another one.....

Thanks!! I really liked the new look. With it being so open it didn't feel as chaotic as it normally does in there!!

It is beautiful!! I know there's a lot of negativity about it's size b/c it's so big but it's so pretty that I don't mind it in the least!!

Our driver was very nice. He told us some interesting things about the amphicars but I didn't write them down so I don't remember everything. He did say that the fastest they can go in the water is 7 mph.

Thanks--it was a lot of fun!! There was not much accuracy in what he was saying in the least. I felt sorry for any 1st timers that were on the bus & believed some of the things he was saying.

At one point a boat came by. It seemed huge in comparison to the car.

Overall it was a fun experience but as expensive as it was I wouldn't be in a hurry to do it again. When I did the math I realized that it cost $4.17 a minute to do that.:eek:

I told H to pick our lunch spot. She went with an oldie but goodie. I was excited b/c it had been awhile since I ate here.

Since Ghirardelli wasn't crowded we decided to stop in for a treat.

Now, I'm not a fan of ice cream to begin with & seeing the amount of calories in some of these things was really scaring me away.

I went with the lowest calorie item I could find on the menu-the ice cream float.

H got a milkshake--not initially though. The gentleman waiting on us rang her's up as a hot chocolate so that's what they gave her first.

We were ready to head back to Riverside. A CM working at a DVC booth stopped us. She was trying to sign me up for a presentation but there were no times available right then & I told her we were ready to leave. She was very persistent & talked me into going to Saratoga Springs a little later that afternoon. She said I would get a $75 gift card & each of us would get 3 FP's. H didn't want to go & the CM said she would still get the FP's anyways. She told me I would get picked up at 3:15.

We stopped in Fulton's to look around for a bit.

Our room location was pretty good. We were really close to one of the quiet pools & we weren't far from the East Depot.

And our luggage was already there so that was a big plus!!

I unpacked a few things & ironed the dress that I was going to be wearing that evening. H stayed in the room to rest while I went to catch the DVC van.
