FRIDAY, AUGUST 24TH(CONT.)

We headed to POC to use the last of the bonus FP's but the FP line was already closed off. The wait was still pretty long for it so we decided to ride it later.
Also, take notice of the dark clouds. It ended up raining pretty much the whole night.
IMG_4423.jpeg

We decided to get some dinner at Pecos Bill. It was very crowded. We were in a line about 10 people deep. I wasn't sure that we could mobile order b/c H wanted the Hades Nachos & they're not part of the regular menu.
IMG_4424.jpeg

I was looking at the tacos.
IMG_4425.jpeg

While in line I looked on my phone for the fun of it. Yay--thank goodness that I did!! We had our food about 4 minutes later!!
IMG_4426.PNG

I always enjoy the food there and today was no exception. H enjoyed the nachos also!!
IMG_4427.jpeg

The front & back of the program.
IMG_4428.jpeg

We stopped at our first trick or treat stop by the Jungle Cruise. Funny, H doesn't trick or treat here anymore but she was more than excited to do it at the Magic Kingdom!!
IMG_4430.jpeg

All of the lines for candy were very long but moved really quick!!
IMG_4431.jpeg

The Magic Carpets only had a 10 minute wait(when in reality it was a walk on) so we went on that.

Another photo from above Agrabah.
IMG_4434.jpeg

Who do I spy down below?
IMG_4435.jpeg

We didn't meet Jafar(his line just like the rest of the characters was really long) but I managed to get a couple good shots.
IMG_4436.jpeg

IMG_4437.jpeg

Now it was time for what H was really excited about--all the Halloween snacks they were having at the party!! I showed her ahead of time the different things they were going to have & she made a list of what she wanted. I believe she succeeded!!

I went with the Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
IMG_4439.jpeg

H went with this. I would have got it but I don't like Cookies & Cream anything. (I know--you're all rolling your eyes at me--ice cream, ketchup, now cookies & cream.....)
IMG_4440.jpeg

IMG_4441.jpeg

I thought it was really cute though!!
IMG_4442.jpeg

Look at the size difference between these two desserts!! That cream puff was tiny!!

The Country Bears played host to the next trick or treat stop!!
IMG_4446.jpeg

IMG_4447.jpeg

It really wasn't looking good...
IMG_4448.jpeg

Another item on H's Halloween party bucket list was the Chilled Apple Cider.
IMG_4449.jpeg

She said it tasted like apple juice.
IMG_4450.jpeg

The rain started so we decided it was a good time to pay the Pirates a visit.
IMG_4451.jpeg

Look who was there!! Mine & E's favorite JC skipper--Skipper Joseph!! He was in deep conversation with his fellow CM so I didn't want to interrupt but I made sure to snap a picture to send to E. I told her that if he was still there after the ride I would say hello but when we came out it was raining so hard that I forgot.
IMG_4454.jpeg

One of the live pirates they have for the Halloween party.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 24TH(CONT.)

I had H pose by this.
IMG_4459.jpeg

We grabbed some more treats by Splash Mountain. That was the first time in 21 years that I have been down there!! Since I'm so afraid of heights Splash was(& always will be) a "one & done" ride for me and it's been that long since I've been on it!! That's one ride I won't budge on about riding!!
IMG_4462.jpeg

We headed over to Liberty Square to check off another snack on the list!!
IMG_4466.jpeg

Madame Leota looks a little lost in there.
IMG_4468.jpeg

H said it was good. I didn't try it b/c I don't like marshmallow. I'm sorry--I know you're probably sick of hearing about all the foods that I DON'T like....

I thought "A Haunted Mansion"(as J calls it) looked pretty darn cool!!
IMG_4469.jpeg

Next stop on the snack quest was Fantasyland.
IMG_4470.jpeg

It was pretty cool looking!! H said it was just o.k.
IMG_4471.jpeg

The Queen of Hearts was out and about.
IMG_4472.jpeg

IMG_4473.jpeg

Time to grab a spot for the parade!!
IMG_4474.jpeg

The CM in the center of the picture was almost as entertaining as the parade!! She was singing & dancing the whole time and really got into it!! So much fun to watch!!

My parade pictures aren't they greatest. We were a few rows back but that's o.k. b/c I don't like to camp out & wait for a long time for a parade to start. What a parade though!! It was so much fun & every time I think of it the song pops in my head & I found myself singing it forever!!

A few more Boo to You pictures...
IMG_4492.jpeg

IMG_4495.jpeg

So much fun!!

We walked around the Emporium for a little while.
IMG_4501.jpeg

I thought these pumpkins were pretty cool!!
IMG_4502.jpeg

We didn't have far to go for the final snack on the list. I also grabbed my usual Starbucks drink.
IMG_4503.jpeg

IMG_4504.jpeg

We grabbed a spot on Main Street to watch Hallowishes. Wow--was this ever impressive!! We both thought it was a great show!!

I loved how there were fireworks going off on the sides of us also.
IMG_4526.jpeg

What an amazing show!!

After Hallowishes we went to a few more trick or treat stops.
IMG_4528.jpeg

We started watching the Hocus Pocus show but we couldn't see that well so we weren't really into it. We were both tired so we decided to make our way out. We had a pretty full day and we were wearing down at that point.
IMG_4529.jpeg

One last castle picture.
IMG_4531.jpeg

IMG_4542.jpeg

Another "A" for great bus service. A Riverside bus was waiting when we got there. We pulled out of the Magic Kingdom at 11:10 & were back at Riverside at 11:29.
I noticed this truck in the parking lot when we got back.

So wait.. you were scared of SDD but you ride SM? Whut? o_O
Here’s my issue with heights(as goofy as this may sound). I can go on SM & RNRC bc they are inside so I feel “safe”(plus it’s dark so I can’t see what’s coming next). I can go on EE bc it feels more “enclosed” to me(climbing the mountain there is that little tunnel) & for most of the ride you’re surrounded by the landscape so I feel “safe”. I can somewhat tolerate ToT bc I’m “inside”. It’s when I’m in the great wide open that I really freak out. SDD is totally open so that scares the crap out of me. I don’t like to fly but I can handle it bc I’m in an enclosed area so I feel “safe”. I hope this makes some sense....sometimes I don’t get it myself but this is how I am!!

That does make sense... I don't like roller coasters as a rule, but I really enjoyed 7dmt. I'm on the fence about SDD because it's more intense. My 24 year old self did SM.. and I agree it wasn't as bad because it was in the dark so the scary hills were not anticipated, but my 47 year old me says... NO WAY.

In the Parks
No
Then I noticed H sticking her nose where it didn't belong. I asked her what would possess her to open that & she said she was curious.
I guess she probably isn't the first one to do this.

Have you ever checked under the welcome mat at The Muppets attraction?

SATURDAY, AUGUST 25TH(DEPARTURE DAY:cry:)

I was up at 7:00 but I didn't do my usual walk. My feet were killing me so I decided to pass plus we still had a full day ahead of us since our flight wasn't leaving until 8:00 that evening. H & I started packing up so we could take our luggage down to airline check in.
I was excited to see there were stirrers again!! In June I opened multiple packages only to find no stirrers. It was really bizarre!!
IMG_4544.jpeg

After dropping off our luggage & checking a bag in with bell services I texted E & asked if she wanted me to help her with her luggage. H waited at The River Roost.
IMG_4546.jpeg

E & J's home for the week.
IMG_4547.jpeg

Here they come!!
God bless her--she had to carry that stroller up & down those steps every day!
IMG_4548.jpeg

J wanted to help so he pushed one of the suitcases.
IMG_4549.jpeg

After dropping off her luggage we headed towards the bus stop to catch a bus to AK.
IMG_4550.jpeg

While waiting for the bus J tried working his charm on this young lady. As you can see she wasn't very interested.
IMG_4551.jpeg

The look of defeat.
IMG_4552.jpeg

I had mentioned earlier how bad MDE was this whole trip. This picture proves how bad it was. It showed my next FP wasn't until September:banghead: Trust me--we had FP's for AK that day!! All I could remember was that we had one for Dinosaur first but I couldn't remember the times of any of them. This was completely ridiculous!!
IMG_4553.PNG

The bus came about 10 minutes later & soon we were here!!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 25TH(CONT.)

I had E take a screen shot of her FP's & send it to me so I knew roughly when ours were since hers were similar to mine.
IMG_4557.PNG

Dinosaur was down so we decided to get lunch. H really likes Satu'li Canteen so we headed there. We attempted to mobile order but MDE was not being very cooperative with that either.
IMG_4558.PNG

We were going to stop for a picture but the lines were long & we were hungry.
IMG_4559.jpeg

IMG_4560.jpeg

I just love the food here!!
IMG_4561.jpeg

IMG_4562.jpeg

I went with the Shrimp & Noodle Bowl. That way the first time I had it & it will not be the last. It was great! H had the chicken, whole grain rice & creamy herb dressing. She really likes that dish.
IMG_4563.jpeg

E got what I usually get-the beef with the hash & creamy herb dressing. J got a hot dog.
IMG_4564.jpeg

The CM who waited on us saw H's birthday button & gave her this dessert!! How cute!!
IMG_4565.jpeg

J started clowning around while we were eating.
