Too hot to sit on my lap for the drive home, bramble opts for the cool shade of the foot well and the gear stick for a pillow:

Bramble is gorgeous!!!

I am from Neath - about a half hour drive from where you were - and yes the weather was great on Sunday. My daughters went to a party, and went swimming in the outside pool, while I sunbathed. Even Wales has nice weather sometimes!

Sorry - I have to say this
"(See? Drunken chavs aren't the only sight to behold in England.) " Dandaman - Wales is not part of England!!!:(
I know no-one has ever heard of Wales, but it is part of the UK, not part of England! Sorry, but we get this all the time! Rant over now...

I know a few folk from Neath - customers of the software company I work for. Very friendly folk.

I know what you mean about the common American misconception of the make up of the UK - more than once you hear "I went to England and really enjoyed Edinburgh".

Quick Geography Lesson:

The United Kingdom / Great Britain. Consists of England (the bit in the middle), Wales (The bit attached to the left of England), Scotland, the bit attached to the top and Norther Ireland, the top part of the bit off to the left separated by water. Sometimes the "British Isles" is used to encompas England, Wales, Scotland and all of Ireland.

What about Jersey and the Isle of Wight?

To the best of my knowledge Isle of Wight is English.

Jersey is it's own thang - it's not part of the UK, but it's located within the British Isles. Only people you find there are tourists and incredibly rich people using it as a tax haven.

great pictures!
I would love to visit Wales someday... pretty much my dream is to take a driving tour of Great Britain (naturally Number_6 would be doing the driving unless we actually want to end up in a ditch :D).
Wales has some of the most wonderful yet difficult to pronounce names of towns... :)

 for Brambles

Try :-

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch :animwink:

The name translates as 'St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave'.

 you should know that I mentioned that town in my livejournal the other day... I had been compiling a list of the best long words in the dictionary.
