The Suite Life of Zack and Cody Comes to an End

According to Ashley-T.com

A close source to Ashley-T.Com, told us (while on the set of Cory In The House) that "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" is done for good. The sets have been completely torn down, and they sold clothes used in the taping of the episodes for only $5.00. In Tiger Beat magazine, Ashley also confirmed filming the very last episode of "The Suite Life:" Ashley told me that she just finished shooting the very last episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Yep, that’s right, the show won’t be filming any more new episodes. You’ll still be seeing new episodes for a while, because they have filmed so many, but the cast is finished shooting. How did Ashley feel about the last episode? “I cried,” Ashley told me. “Brenda and I cried when we did our last day together - our last ever scene was together in London’s suite with Phill Lewis (who plays Mr. Moseby). First, we cried when the lobby set went down a week before. It was the one stage that was always there. It was hard to see it go. Then a week later, when we did our last scene together, it was sad and we cried. The next day was the curtain call - the end of the whole thing - and we cried there, too. So I cried, like, three times!”

Does anyone know how I can send a complaint email to Disney?

What?!? How can they call it quits with a popular show?

I must admit, I do watch The Suite Life and Hannah Montana...:o (my younger brother and sister watch the Disney Channel all the time, so that might have something to do with it).

Because Disney has enough episodes to show an ep or two every day for 18 months (or some weird amount), and have them not repeat. It's something Disney has done for a long time.

Disney has a history of filming approximately 90 episodes for each show, so it doesn't matter how popular a show is, thats it.

TigerBeat is an old (as in I read it in the 60's &70's) teen gossip magazine so take the story however way you want.

I have heard of the so-called "65 episode rule." I don't know why they have it. Anyone know?

I think the more popular shows, like Suite Life and Raven went on for much longer, though.

I heard this before though, when I saw someone on the internet trying to make a petition to have the show stay on.

I predicted they would end this show soon, when they had Zach and Cody graduate from Middle School. Plus they are bringing a new show to Disney Channel soon (probably to replace this one).

Disney has a 65 episode limit. It may not be a written rule, but look at the history of Disney shows. Very few exceed this number.

Suite Life actually went over it.

My kids will freak.. they love this show. If the 65 episode thing is true.. isn't Hannah Montana is getting close? They both love it too.

I can see HM lasting longer than the SuiteLife. In HM they have the CD sales and a lot of other things going along with the show that might influence Disney to keep it going longer.

Too old for their parts? They just turned 15 and play 13 - 14 y/o kids (just out of middle school). It seems more likely that the writers have run out of material.

In response to "too old for their parts," the twins are fine according to age, but its the older teen characters you need to watch out for. Ashley Tisdale, who was origionally a Sophmore in High School on the show, is now 22 and might not want to continue on with the show because of her budding music career with HSM and her mildly-successful solo album. Also co-star Brenda Song (the Tipton's "Paris Hilton-type" heiress) is now 19.

On what shows might replace Suite Life once it runs out of season 3episodes (which won't happen for a least another year), Disney Channel has many shows coming out of the pipeline. In October, Disney will air Wizards of Waverly Place, a live-action sitcom made by It's a Laugh Productions, Inc., the same makers of Suite Life, will air. The show revolves around a family who have kids with magical abilities.

Later this Fall, a Live-action "Spy-Kid-like sitcom",J.O.N.A.S!, starring the musical male trio Jonas Brothers will most likely air. Disney doesn't own this music group, but is heavily promoting them (most likely Disney will sign them on if this show falls through). This show is quoted to be a cross between the singing aspects of Hannah Montana and the spy elements of Kim Possible.

Also by It's a Laugh Productions, Inc., a spin-off of Sweet Life,Arwin!, about the wacky Zack and Cody repairman coming home to raise his kids will start some time in 2008.

I thought Brenda Song was older, like around the same age as Ashley Tisdale. I didn't know that.

So the Jonas Brothers aren't signed to Disney or Hollywood Records?

I figured they would make a spin-off of Suite Life but I didn't think it would be based off of Arwin's character. This will be the first time, I would guess, that Disney really based a show around the adult character rather than the kids.
But will this show take place in the future so he can have kids? In the Suite Life show, he isn't even married.

How do you guys think The Suite Life will end? Will it be basically like the other shows, or will it sort of wrap things up, like Zach and Cody's mom getting a recording contract and moving out of the Tipton Hotel?
