The Suite Life of Zack and Cody Comes to an End

After digging for some details, I found some more information on the upcoming Disney Channel Show Arwin!:

"Arwin! (originally named Housebroken) is a spin-off of the series, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The show centers around Arwin, the handyman of the Tipton, who is quitting his job so he can go to his home town and take care of his family, his sister and her children. This show was supposed to air, due to the fact that The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was originally stopping at 65 episodes, but The Suite Life was very successful. This show was cancelled because a 3rd season was announced for The Suite Life. However, the show is going to start when The Suite Life stops at 100 episodes."

In response to the Jonas Brothers, their label is currently Holywood Records, but Disney has made interest in the past to sign them on to Disney Records.
Found some more Disney-related info on the Jonas Brothers:

"In 2007, the pilot to a new fictional television series entitled J.O.N.A.S! starring the trio as a group of government hired spies was filmed, and is expected to debut on the Disney Channel in 2008.

The Jonas Brothers will be opening for Miley Cyrus on a 54-date North American concert tour starting October 18, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri and ending January 9, 2008 in Albany, New York.

The Jonas Brothers performed at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California on June 2, 2007, right after T-Squad and Everlife. The surprise guest to introduce them was Miley Cyrus."

Sure sounds like the Jonas's want to make something happen with Disney.

I'm pretty sure Hollywood Records is part of Disney. That particular label has released debut albums of Raven-Symone, Jesse McCartney, and Vanessa Hudgens.

I'm sure Disney wants to push the Jonas Brothers because they see potential in them.

About the Arwin show, that makes a lot more sense how it will deal with his sister's kids, not his own.

I wonder if any of The Suite Life actors will guest star on that show.

You are correct. The Disney Company is the parent company of Hollywood Records.

Really? A Suite Life spin-off? Cory in the House never interested me, or anyone I know who is in the target age group for the show. It seems weird they would try another spin off.

The new RollingStone with Zach Efron on the cover has a whole article on the Disney Channels influence on kids and other networks..."Disney Channel plays more music than MTV and VH1 combined". That is so true.

Yeah. I thought so. I just saw it mentioned in the Disney Annual Report as well.

At first, I thought the concept of Cory in the House, where Raven's father is picked as the president's personal chef and what not, was a little farfetched. But even now that I see past that now, I still can't really get into it.

They've got a point about Disney playing more music than MTV or VH1.

I like everyone on Cory in the House....except Cory himself. He tries too hard to be funny and isn't a natural like Raven was. However, Maia (sp?), the president, and his daughter are pretty funny

I think her name is Maiara.

That little girl who plays the daughter is really good, especially for such a young age.

To me, the Cory character was only support to Raven. Now they make him obsessed with money and give him a whole business-minded persona. I feel like it has been done before, and they force humor that fits those situations.

As far as I know, Ashley Tisdale isn't done with Disney Channel just yet. She is voicing one of the animated characters in a new Disney Channel show, Phineas and Ferb.

And on the top of Ashley Tisdale being a sophomore in high school when the show started, didn't she have her prom in season 1 as well?

I will be so sad if this show comes to a close. It is so popular -- why would Disney cancel such a great show?

Doesn't she also do a voice on Kim Possible?

I think there was a prom, but it wasn't her official senior prom, since she still was a sophomore.

Sad to see this show end. This was the first Disney Channel show I enjoyed since The Mickey Mouse Club of the late 1980's. I think that the third season episodes have been the wittest and best written of all. However, the shows with Arwin are the least enjoyable of all, so I don't think I'll be interested in Arwin!

They've now previewed some of the shows that are meant to replace the show of The Suite Life of Zach and Cody.

What do you guys think?

Phineas and Furb was good, I guess, I didn't really catch that much though.

The Wizards show looks interesting.

But by only looking at the advertisements for As the Bell Rings, I already am not thrilled about it. It looks like something from Nickelodeon.

Are you sure Ashley Tisdale was ever a sophomore in high school while filming the show?

Just a year or two ago, I was reading a little something about her in a magazine and at that time, the article said she was 21 years old. And I know Suite Life hasn't been running for the amount of years it would take for her to have been 15 on the show.

Now her character may have been a sophomore in high school in the first season or two, but for some reason, the "in thing" lately seems to be to have chicks in their 20's playing high school girls.

Okay, I just checked her Wikipidea entry and it says she was born in 1985, making her 22 years old this year.

That's a relief off my mind now, knowing I don't have to feel like a dirty old pervert everytime I gawk at her on TV. :D
