Trip Report The Story Comes ALIVE! *COMPLETED*

Hello again, my friends.

For nearly a decade it has been such a joy for me to write about 50 (yes, 50!) different trips that I have taken to WDW - including one that was virtual. ;)

The reason? You, the reader.

I don’t do trip reports for my own documentation. I have journals for that. I write because I love interacting with y’all. Your encouragement, humor, curiosity and even snark (*ahem* @amjt660) assure me that I am not alone in my crazy affection for Disney parks. A big thanks to each of you!

I am very fortunate to be a frequent visitor to WDW (despite what @Mr Ferret 88 believes, I do not live there!) and am entering a season of monthly visits. Trip reporting is time consuming (as those of you who’ve written can attest) but I’m not ready to completely give it up - yet.

What I’d like to do is keep this as an ongoing TR for the rest of 2023. It will be highlights and moments, with live posting as the goal. My story coming alive, so to speak.

First up is spring break with my favorite girl.

Followed closely by a getaway with my favorite guy.

There will be Magician meets. New experiences. And (as always) the unexpected.

I hope you’ll join the fun!

When Em and I were having drinks at Geyser Point Bar yesterday we perused the food menu.

The same item caught our eyes.

Grilled steak on a pretzel roll with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and arugula, served with a Gouda cheese sauce.

As tempting and delicious-sounding as it was, neither of us was particularly hungry at the time.

“We could share it,” Em offered up.

“Or,” I added, “We could get it for lunch tomorrow and each have our own.”

Which is exactly what we did.

Our only criticism of the sandwich was it’s a little heavy on onions, (which were easily removed.) Otherwise :hungry:!

Wednesday, con’t

Well we weren’t chased out of the pool today. We returned to our pool condo around 4pm - and within the next 15 minutes whistles blew and the pool was cleared. The deluge didn’t begin right away but when it did - WOW.

And the rain rain rain
Came down down down

We were thankful not to be in it!

When it finally cleared we headed out for our dinner destination. Saw this little beauty as we walked to the boat dock.

I've been eyeing that flight, too, but I don't like pineapple. @TrolleyFollower91 , how prominent is the pineapple flavor?

Although, my main draw was the cucumber melon, because I have bath and body works cucumber melon scent stuff and it smells delicious, but if the drink tastes like pickles, I hate pickles...I'm so torn! Do I give it a try? Do I skip it? I also LOVE black cherry....can you get any of them without getting the whole flight?
If you don’t like pineapple juice, you won’t like the spicy pineapple margarita. The cucumber melon reminded me of a pickled cucumber- just not what I want with my tequila. The waiter said this flight is really hit or miss with people. I’m not sure you can just get one, but at $22 it’s not significantly more than just one margarita to be able to sample different types.

Em and I felt like salmon trying to make our way down Main Street in the mass exodus of people.

It’s extra evening hours for deluxe resort guests.

We had prioritized the attractions we wanted to do.

We got in line for the Peoplemover at 9:58pm. Unbeknownst to us, Peoplemover does not operate during EEH. We were one the last ones to ride.

@Darstarr and Ant made the cut-off too. We saw them disembarking as we were getting on.
