Trip Report The Story Comes ALIVE! *COMPLETED*

Hello again, my friends.

For nearly a decade it has been such a joy for me to write about 50 (yes, 50!) different trips that I have taken to WDW - including one that was virtual. ;)

The reason? You, the reader.

I don’t do trip reports for my own documentation. I have journals for that. I write because I love interacting with y’all. Your encouragement, humor, curiosity and even snark (*ahem* @amjt660) assure me that I am not alone in my crazy affection for Disney parks. A big thanks to each of you!

I am very fortunate to be a frequent visitor to WDW (despite what @Mr Ferret 88 believes, I do not live there!) and am entering a season of monthly visits. Trip reporting is time consuming (as those of you who’ve written can attest) but I’m not ready to completely give it up - yet.

What I’d like to do is keep this as an ongoing TR for the rest of 2023. It will be highlights and moments, with live posting as the goal. My story coming alive, so to speak.

First up is spring break with my favorite girl.

Followed closely by a getaway with my favorite guy.

There will be Magician meets. New experiences. And (as always) the unexpected.

I hope you’ll join the fun!

Perfect morning at DHS! Did you have to wait very long to get on ROTR? I really enjoy those afternoon breaks at the resort sharing a treat! It's truly become something a look forward to on our trips these days!
The wait wasn’t too bad. And afternoon breaks are the best!

🫨 that looks like a Yankee Doodle with extra stuff on top! 😳💕
Em was especially fond of the candy pop rocks on top!

Go shopping.
Not a bad idea!

Tuesday, con’t

After her nap Em suggested a walk through the resort grounds. The rain had cooled the air temperature and there was a slight breeze. We then rested on cushioned chairs, enjoying the scenery.

The sun got stronger so we moved into the bar.

Em was interested in trying the margarita flight. From left: cucumber melon, raspberry, spicy pineapple and black cherry.

Her favorite was the “light and refreshing” raspberry. She did not care for the cucumber melon which tasted like “the pickles at Ted’s Montana Grill.”

I needed something frozen and ordered a strawberry smoothie (plastic straw courtesy of CFA.)

We lingered here awhile and discussed evening options.

Walking past the pool, it was hard to believe it had previously rained for two hours.

We made it to the boat dock in the nick of time.

Upon arriving at MK we browsed the stores on Main Street - mostly for the a/c! Next we went for a spin around Tomorrowland.

We were stopped in the Space Mountain tunnel for a short time. No complaints, as we relished more a/c!

Dinner at Cosmic Ray’s, for the delicious chopped vegetable and crispy noodle salad with chicken.

Pirates was listed as a 20 minute wait in the app so we headed there next.

However we could tell by the length of the line it would be longer than that - a quick check of the app revealed a time jump to 45 minutes. We left the queue.

The park was very busy and dark clouds were looming in the distance. We opted to cut our losses and return to our pool condo.

The thunder and subsequent rain confirmed we had made the right decision.

Finally caught up! My husband, R, and I have a WDW trip planned for our anniversary. We had to reschedule from last year because my little dog pulled through his sickness. So we have one booked over Thanksgiving from Nov 23rd-Dec 1st (if my dog is no longer with us). It will be 21 years together but married for 9 (because we dated for almost 12 years before getting married, we focus more on the oldest date lol). However, my dog Pip, who will be 17 on Sept 2nd seemed to have 3 paws in the grave when I first planned the trip, has sniffed out the booked Disney trip and has made another comeback LOL. His pattern continues 😁 Like R said a couple years ago, our Disney trips give our dog purpose LOL. No real complaints though - he's my doggie soulmate and we really do hope he can reach his 17th birthday. Until we can get back to my happy place, I can only vacation thru all yall :)

I've been eyeing that flight, too, but I don't like pineapple. @TrolleyFollower91 , how prominent is the pineapple flavor?

Although, my main draw was the cucumber melon, because I have bath and body works cucumber melon scent stuff and it smells delicious, but if the drink tastes like pickles, I hate pickles...I'm so torn! Do I give it a try? Do I skip it? I also LOVE black cherry....can you get any of them without getting the whole flight?

The views from Geyser Point are just so serene that it's become one of our favorite spots to have an afternoon drink on vacation! The boat ride from WL to MK is also so relaxing! Glad you were able to enjoy dinner at Cosmic Rays and get a few attractions in before the inevitable rain! Wise move to head back to your pool condo! 😄
