The Status of Muppet*Vision 3D

Really hoping that MV:3D makes it past 2021... our next scheduled trip. I shot some one-off 3D footage of some scenes from the film with my dual lens Japanese import 3D camera and it was beautiful. But I didn’t have a camera mount with me to do it proper. *crosses fingers* I’m really hoping I can capture Jim’s final work before it disappears.

Simply turn the courtyard into a new planet (not Batuu) in a galaxy far far away. Place a Jedi Academy there and a Launch Bay there. The script writes itself.

Only negative is losing Mama Melrose. Perhaps it could keep the menu and be rethemed or it could be relocated.

PS- Muppets can be used as the have been in Liberty Square, Future World etc. No need to confine them to several hundred square feet. IMO.

no need to have star wars in every corner of a park IMHO.

I really do think that the imagination institute should become a Muppets lab pavilion. And then make Figment and Dreamfinder a really epic 4D attraction in the theatre next door.

Then the muppets mobile lab could have a designated spot over there.

I’ve said this before. I just like to repeat myself.

I agree!
Though I do not understand why they chose to build SWGE where they did leaving a Star Wars attraction all by itself with no connection... They honestly should have demolished the entire Muppets area and built Galaxy's Edge in that space....then Star Tours becomes your transportation to the Galaxy's Edge...and you exit right into the new land...VS a gift shop, then walk through Muppet square to get to the entrance to Galaxy's edge...

I've got another one of my.... different ideas.

They should make Star Tours a Star Wars/Muppet themed attraction. They wouldn't have to even change the movies just the interior line and whose flying the ship. They could easily replace the pilot C3PO with Gonzo and Rizzo.

Pigs In Space...lol
Gonzo Animatronic flying the shuttle...You crash land in the Muppet Studios and exit into the Muppet Courtyard... Go back to the original idea of the Swedish Chef running a crazy Muppets themed restaurant (Where Mama Melrose is now) tear down the Rizzo Pizza place, add a muppets themed spinner of some or Balloon ride and a couple snack stands and voila...A better realized Muppet Studios area...

Yeah, very nice Boca. You've some great ideas for the area. They just would have to add in one attraction like you said and they'd have 3 (2 of them on the cheap). I like the idea of a Spinner or Great Muppet movie ride as the 3rd. It would give something quick for people to do if they can't get into GE.

That wouldn't make an ounce of sense. Why demolish two areas with large franchise tentpole attractions, when SWGE can be built right next to it, and expand into unused land with zero attractions? As if Studios wasn't bad enough imagine it going without Star Tours and MV3D these last few years.

Wasn’t the original plan to expand into the parking lot / Indy land using star tours as 1 of the anchor attractions? That made a lot of sense in my book.

I feel like the Millennium Falcon is going to be star tours 2.0 in some ways....

Yes exactly! That was the first plan that was discussed...they cleared out the parade warehouses and everything...
