You make a cameo appearance and you want to talk about the Robocop remake?
What's next? Talking about how great The Lego Movie was?
I need to have a talking to DD.
Ok, fine...
Let's talk Shanghai...

Pixie-dusters all the way. The Super-FP users (myself included) will figure out ways to use it to their liking, but WDW is just stale. Not much to hang your hat on.

Just look for loosely attached magic bands. Grab and run. Tactically, it is best to strike up a friendly conversation to see what fastpasses may be on the magic band before the grab and dash. Don't want to be stuck with IaSW, Tiki Birds, and Pooh.

That is what many folks are observing, including friends of mine who are in the industry and trained observers and have been visiting parks that are not very crowded at all and yet there are long lines for MM+ kiosks and long queues for attractions that only had them on the busiest days before.

I'll take one of my friends, who has spent a lifetime working in the business, and their opinion over 87 posts on a forum like this one because even a crazy Disney maniac guest that would be a member here still doesn't know ops like someone who has been living it for years.

So, yeah, I know the lines are artificially inflated. It really hasn't been a big deal because the last 3-4 weeks are basically a dead period, but things start getting busier this holiday weekend and they don't really slow down all that much until post Easter, which is very late this year.

What has surprised me is that I know pixie dusters who will go on for days about how much more "magical" Disney is than Universal. And I have been hearing complaints about long lines from them! These people don't complain about Disney. They gladly hand over their money for anything the Mouse tells them to without question. And yet, more than one of these people have reported back to me that Disney has "ruined FP". I have had a few Disney superfans tell me that if Disney doesn't fix these lines, they will stop going.

Will they really? Probably not. But I figure the problem must be pretty bad to get the apologists talking about a Disney revolt.

What is more bizarre?

Disney thinking the Poly has ''world class amenities'' or Lou Mongello being quoted doing PR for Celebration Place in the NY Daily News?

I can't give details, so please don't ask, but HKDL is going to see some major additions beyond the Iron Man Experience and they will happen sooner rather than later.

Olympics or a Person of Interest rerun? No debate needed.

@InsideDLParis on the Twitter says DLP has decided to end character meets and greets at its resorts as of early November. Also says the cost of Ratatouille has risen above $200 million which is not surprising.

Speaking of the Rat ride, composer Michael Giacchino, has been doing work on the attraction's score.

Anyone want to bet that Celebration Place staffers have given hub access to some 'crucial' lifestylers?

Look at all the tree removal and pathway expansion at the MK and realize yet again that the 'park' part of the name should be removed.

Debating a visit to UNI-Hollywood for the first time in years. Think it will come down to whether I score freebies as I don't want to pay for a construction zone.

I just say 'bless their hearts' when I see Disney advertising rooms at the All Star Music for $82 a night for FL residents.

A Coke commercial advocating soda thievary. No, it wasn't inspired by me ... at least I don't think it was.
I've known about the Paris hotel cuts for a while. Any idea why they are waiting a full 9 months to enact when the resort is bleeding cash?

Also I'm sure they've given Hub access to their sainted few. But why would they post screen shots on their blog unless they were told to? Very stupid thing to do-couldn't a CM be fired for doing the same?

Maybe the bloggers have restricted access to certain areas on the hub?

@WDW1974 would probably have a better idea, but I assume it's due to EU employment laws where you just can't dump employees unless you are going out of business/bankrupt.

Paris was also experimenting with more characters in the parks earlier in January. Maybe they want the hotel guests in the parks instead where they are more likely to spend money.

Parks and hotels are separate budgets. No characters were added to the parks they just started queue ing rather than free for All's

Including Big Al? (who to this day makes me scratch my head on why he is there.) Not only is he there..he is in every land. Imagine Big Al in Discoveryland. Yep!
