I just read a trip report today and the photo's of the queues to use a kiosk were long. From what I've been told they have cut the number of CM assistants at the Kiosks because during the slow period there were not many guests needing assistance.
They've been hiring like mad for FastPass+ Assistants, that's probably why. They also just need to build more kiosks as quickly as possible. You want an instant job at Disney? FP+! Next you'll see people saying that FP+ is a jobs creator! Ugh.

Could all the recent "giving people more room" expansions around MK have something more to do than just possibly making things a little more easier to maneuver during parades? Granted this stuff is very, very needed but too much is taking place at once.

Maybe some kind of long term additions?

Jimmy Thick- Taking one for the team.
Nope. It's all for the parades and fireworks crowd control. Nothing else. Although I've heard that Steve Davison is at it again with a new Wishes replacement, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Then how much more are they going to do?

If that's truly the goal, they haven't even scratched the surface.

Jimmy Thick- But...Its really needed...

Wow! Ever. Nice hyperbole!

Sounds like you're snorting brick dust.

Hardly ... I have never enjoyed a WDAS film. I even thought other CGI films were getting a bit long in the tooth with its message of "love conquers all" premise ... Lego Movie isn't that it offers up a fresh modern fable to be the through line for the movie ... which is more relevant for society now.

Which movie has the amazing ending?

The Lego Movie.

You are correct, they have barely scratched the service... yet. In a different thread this good user, rct247, posted the most accurate description of what is going on:

The overall goal of this project is to create an outer ring to the hub used specifically for crowd control and traffic patterns that will be much easier on guests than one way confusing pathways that eat up some valuable fireworks viewing areas. It is starting by Casey's corner and Crystal Palace where an expanded main pathway will allow traffic to easily flow from the sidewalks and gifts shops on Main Street toward Crystal Palace toward Adventureland and Liberty Square allowing more of the hub to fill in. It will also expand the seating area for Casey's and stroller parking for Crystal Palace. There is also a wall up on the path to Adventureland from the hub to also create more viewing areas. Eventually I hear that the Rose Garden may look completely different, new pathways from the Adventureland path to the Liberty Square path (or widened bridges), and possibly an additional bridge from the Tomorrowland bridge to the Plaza restaurant to the new bypass. I wish I could see the plans though. This was only what was described to me.

He knows what he's talking about.

You DO have a point there and the potential for sexual harassment on a 'same-sex' basis is now in play, I've always thought a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy was probably the best one for harmony between the LGBT community and the RoW, One of my best friends is flamboyantly gay I'll do a lot of things with him, Taking a shower is not one of them. Guess I'm not sufficiently liberated yet.
Guess you're not because as a gay guy I find that to be one of the most offensive claims I've ever heard (and I'm not just targeting this towards you. You're sadly not the first person I've seen with these opinions). To assume that gay people just about throw themselves towards anything defined as male with no sense of self-control or self-respect (or, hey, a thing called standards and visual preferences) is A. ridiculous and B. arrogant, at best. As a person who has served in the army and has showered with pretty much all my close friends, let me tell you that the experience was completely neutral sexually - albeit sometimes hilarious for different reasons but lets not get into that. :P To assume a guy like me would just go gaga over, well, basically nothing is absurd and insulting.

I am straight but I have more of a problem with the gay man = pedophile misnomer. To think that all gay men are attracted to you because you're a guy is silly, a gay person being scoffed at because they enjoy teaching or being a role model for, children makes me angry.

Males are hardwired to be visually stimulated, It's just the way male primates are programmed male monkeys and apes have the same responses to female monkeys/apes that men do, sexual preference is what merely WHAT sex stimulates you. It's WHY men and women have separate locker rooms. IF we had the ability to ignore outside of a romantic relationship there would be no reason for the separate locker rooms.

Why do we bother having separate men and women locker rooms?

Cultural preference.

Here in Germany saunas are very popular and many swimming pools have what they would call a "wellness area" which generally includes all kind of saunas and steambaths and stuff like that. Those are always considered "textile free" zones. And there is no separation into men's and women's areas. Yes, you might end up meeting your neighbour without any clothes on. While not everyone's cup of tea, nobody makes a bit fuss about it and it is considered absolutely acceptable here.

With the logic that appears to be implied in your statement (i.e. no one should share a locker room with someone they could be attracted to) all gay people would have to be excluded from communal changing facilities.

Sorry, that just does not make any sense - so how can someone who is gay, but not open about it, survive a locker room full with people of the same sex??

Not talking about you or any individual here. But the word thug absolutely is used as a replacement for the N-word and reporters and writers have been cautioned against using it ... because again it has become code.

And I agree with you wholeheartedly ... the NFL and every other pro sports league in the USA (and abroad as well, largely) doesn't give a damn about character except when it brings them bad PR. But, even then, they have 20-something talking themselves into six figure jobs as social media experts that tell them there is no such thing as bad PR in sports. Guess what? They are wrong.

The most 'famous' mainstream use of that word was GWB's State of the Union in reference to terrorists and it definitely wasn't used as a synonym for the n-word. I suppose some people use it that way just like they use a multitude of other stupid and ignorant words but I wouldn't say everyone says thug in lieu of the n-word. Just my opinion though, I always thought of it to describe a can't control themselves bully.

....really, y'all? The NFL ? Gay preferences? Really?

I saw Gravity last night and I didn't like it. But that's just me. Will probably see the Lego movie when it eps on DVD/blu ray.

So the hold "all the things on hold" because of fp+... Any idea if they will ever come off hold? Is fp+ making any type of a financial success?

I thought Gravity was a fantastic big-screen movie-going experience. In 3D IMAX (legit IMAX, mind you), it was transformative. Not sure it would hold up for me on Blu-ray, though.

Sorta like a good theme park attraction: you want to see it in-person the way it was meant to be seen, because the Youtube video doesn't do it justice.

Every time I read NFL I thought new fantasy land. o_O Glad I figured it out because some of your posts were not making any sense. I have a question for the spirit! Do you know if there is anything else coming to animal kingdom other than avatar, night time show, night safari? This could include attractions, layout changes, etc...

It kicked up my anxiety really bad, that's why I didn't care for it. Visually, it was very well done and I'm sure on a big screen makes all the difference. I'm actually really glad I went to see Frozen on the big screen (multiple times but that's besides the point) because of how visually beautiful it was.

Speaking of Frozen, and to attempt to cycle this back on to a WDW topic, are there any plans for Frozen rides in any of the parks or just meet n greets? I guess at this point it would be on hold with everything else... But worth asking about :)

Is Olaf still on the roof at DL? Is the snow overlay down?
