The Spirited Seventh Heaven ...

Speaking of EPCOT. Had a chat with a fanboi friend recently and the topic came up about 'What if?' as in 'What if Disney had built Walt's version?'

It's not a question worth discussing unless you have a two hour and 56 minute podcast and can only tell so many fart jokes, put out so much misinformation or gush about (fill this in with Marvel, UNI, Potter, Star Wars, Frozen or whatever you like).

We'll never know whether what Walt proposed was possible or feasible or even if he would have followed through had he lived.

It's not a popular opinion among the ultra-Disney set, but Walt's vision for EPCOT was creepy as hell. I love the man and respect his brilliance, but still...

And completely agree there's no use debating what could have been when what WAS is being dismantled as we speak...

Man what's the point of doing Civil War when you don't have the rights to half the starring characters? Spidey going public, the Fantastic Four splitting up, and the whole "Forcing registration on the mutant community again" thing were all big parts of the original story.
I get the impression they're just using this as an opportunity to have Cap and Tony fight each other.
The premise of Cap 2, that SHIELD has been infiltrated by HYDRA, was told quite differently in the comics.

And people say Cast Lists arent spoilers! Pfft!
I struggle with the cultural obsession with spoilers and trying to make oneself into a knot of avoid discussing them. We all agree that it's just a bad move to spoil something when it just came out, but when does this become too much? A couple films which are known, perhaps infamous, for their spoilers are danced around as if they were released in the last couple of weeks like say Gone Girl. If a film is good, then spoilers really shouldn't be an issue. A film ought to stand on the merits of the experience it provides. Films like The Empire Strikes Back or Seven don't need to necessarily be protected from being spoiled because they build up those cruicle moments so well that you will feel whatever the filmmaker intended.

However, cast lists can, and cannot, be spoilers. I have no doubt that Disney/Marvel cleared that Cap 3 scoop. That does not spoil a film where the marketing will heavily emphasize the conflict between Tony and Steve. Maybe if Robert Downey Jr's appearance were a small to medium sized cameo
like Cap in Thor 2
I would be upset, but Disney/Marvel want you to know two avengers will be going at it and they want your butt in a seat on opening weekend. If they didn't, this would not have been posted by Variety.

Napoli is good but noting like the old Vista Way special from Flippers! lol
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
in plain english please.

We do Giordano's, sometimes Uno's. Both are famous authentic Chicago style pizza restaurants with chains in Orlando.

Giordano's and Uno's both have locations near Downtown Disney. Giordano's also has one on Route 192 near Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Giordano's:

You've got to be willing to eat at least half your pizza slice with a knife and folk, which seems to offend most New York Style purists, who feel a pizza slice has to be folded or it's not pizza. :D

I think new york purists would kill me, as I eat most pizzas with fork ( I do not like to stain my hands with grease) :p

Anything that is going to be more than likely heavily part of the marketing is not a spoiler. You can't tell the bus system to take down the posters that list and show the principle cast and it is just silly to expect others to conform to such a ridiculous standard. Teasers that are clearly not film footage are also not teasers. I highly doubt the Batmobile will really be part of the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars Episode VII.

We were getting lonely without you and I can write only so many financial analyses in a week. :D

Hey, we know you have many of them at the ready and that you sometimes borrow from previous posts (not that you aren't the best numbers guy here!)

And while I love pizza, I am trying to lose weight so seeing pics don't help. (and fall is always good eating season for me!) ... Pretty soon, I'll need a fifth fanboi to carry me around!!!

I have absolutely no clue where I actually left off here ... so ... here's a musing:

I am not excited by Big Hero 6 at all. It may be great, but the trailers haven't got me all hot and bothered.

When was the last time any Disney or Pixar animated movie trailer got anyone excited? They're notorious for under-selling the movies because the trailers themselves are made to appeal to 6 year olds.

It's the main reason why the Japanese trailers are so much better. They're designed to actually sell the story, and not slapstick gags.
