Very interesting and this is contradicting other WDS Marvel rumors, like turning the Backlot into Marvel land with retheming of all the attractions there to Marvel. I wonder what they would do with the Backlot then, since it's the ugliest part of the WDS.

To be fair, I got a note today that said that both adding them to DSP and using them in a third gate are both still on the table (the chatter has all been third gate) but Paris management absolutely believes in having a Marvel third gate ... we shall see as nothing is happening for a while.

I am going to disagree with my favorite Lifestyler (sorry, I haven't been back to your wonderful site much of late ... just not enough time in a day!) WITH a caveat (how is that pronounced @Lee?)

I wouldn't stay away from TDR EXCEPT at the TDR Good Neighbor Hotels. All of them provide transport in wonderful air conditioned motor coaches that are worlds better than WDW buses (everyone sits to start!) And while you often can get great rates at the Sheraton and Hilton Tokyo Bay, you won't score $61 a night rooms like we did at the Sunroute Plaza Ariake in nearby Odaiba, which is a great area to stay in with numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options that can be walked to easily.

But I agree with @WDWFigment in that I wouldn't want to have to use city buses to get back and forth.

Yep. Made the mistake of having a burger after my traveling companion and I had difficulty deciding where to eat and wound up at Tomorrowland Terrace. Worst Disney burger anywhere and tiny (think McD's regular burger). Wanted to eat at Pan Galactic Pizza Port (it was built as part of the Star Tours expansion and is connected), but both times we went it was packed.

Now, I certainly agree with Tom again about dining at TDR. It really is a huge part of the fun and adventure of visiting the place. But we aren't all lawyers when we aren't taking trips and the food can add up. Of course, the exchange rate has improved greatly since we were there in late 2010.

I would add that Ikspiari ( the Tokyo version of DD) has lots of wonderful dining options that are much better values than TDR and still provide tasty and exciting food that most Americans will not have had or had in quite the same way.

Merchandise is very weak. As much as it pains me to say this when you take DAK and WS into account, and even Art of Disney locations, WDW has much more interesting stuff.

And I am shocked that he doesn't have a Gelatoni yet ... I do know what I'll be buying him before we finally meet!

Caveat = "kah-vee-aht." At least that's how I've always heard it.

And no... that's clearly not how the dictionary would spell it out. I'm on my phone right now, so it was easier to type out the sounds this way than the "correct" way.

Yeah ... but that isn't how everyone pronounces the word, right @Lee?

If like other posters, I'm reading it correctly, if you arrive at 5 and all the passes have been given out, you can't wait in line to ride? Who's genius idea is this? Whoever it is, they should be there front and center when guests are irate at being told there are no more available rides and you can't wait on line, hours before park closing.

Some executive who will get a bonus for making his numbers. Either making the wait shorter OR cutting any overtime that would have needed to occur because of the line going longer than 9PM.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night and it was excellent. I'd say it was my third favorite Marvel movie behind The Avengers and Captain America 2. Dave Bautista impressed me in his big break and he could very well be the second WWE superstar to be a legitimate action movie star.

I enjoyed the overall direction of the film and it's setup for future MCU clashes with Thanos. The post-credits scene was, like the movie, funny.

I believe WDW is experimenting with these changes because they are listening to guest feedback and are trying to take steps to improve the situation.

Stating the obvious, when something new is tried, X number of people will like it and Y number of people won't.

It's possible to survey and postulate to the nth degree, but you can't really know whether X or Y will be larger until you just try it.

I commend WDW for trying to make things better for the greatest number of guests. :)

(Even if they do so only when it involves minimal cost. :D)

On my first visit to MM+ WDW I heard so many people complaining about the new MagicBands and FP.

What can I say about Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie was awesome. Best movie of the summer. You will believe in a gun toting raccoon and his talking tree friend. Perfect casting, great story, great effects, great soundtrack. The music was like a 6th character. Rocket and Groot felt like real characters not effects. Laughed my off and even shed a little tear. Just a fun movie. And all I will say about the end of credits sequence is someone in the theater exclaimed "holy " when it happened.

I was trying to get tickets to Guardians of the Galaxy for tonight at my favorite theater (I do not stand in lines at the theater... ever. Won't do it. I buy tickets online) and all showings were sold out for tonight and tomorrow.

So I tried my second favorite, same thing.

I settled for a similar (Loews) theater, but an hour out of the way, and got tickets to a late night showing.

I think word is getting out that it's a good movie. I haven't had trouble getting tickets to a movie in a long, LONG time... I think Lord of the Rings (the third one) was the last time I ran into this issue. However, I didn't see the HP movies in theaters- infact, didn't see them until only a few months ago- so there's that.

I'm going to San Francisco on August 25. While I'm there, I'll check out the Disney Museum! Then, I'll be an even more qualified Disney fan! Lol
Certainly more qualified than Spirit, who still refuses to visit our City by the Bay.

Be sure to give yourself at least 3 hours minimum when seeing WDFM for the first time. It's a deceptively small space that's jam-packed with lots and lots of memorabilia. And save some $$$ for the gift shop at the exit! ;) The Mary Blair exhibit runs until Sept 7, and there's some really nice MB merch worth purchasing.

Fully agree with you... I went to eat to Tomorrowland's terrace.. thinking the offerings would be god.. Boy.. the only thing that was decent.. was the chocolate volcano cupcake.
the burger was beyond the quality you'd see from a McDonalds.

Cool. Thanks! So, I'll be flying in on Aug. 25. The next day, I will take a bus out to Burning Man in the Nevada desert. I will be camping out in the desert until Saturday afternoon, take a bus back to San Fran, spend the night there, and fly back the next day.

We visited the museum a few years ago, and yes, set aside enough time to take it all in.

Well, tracking just keeps going up on Guardians. It may break a $100 million. Would love to see it beat Transformers 4. Having 24 hours to digest it. I want to see it again. James Gunn and everyone just nailed it. The movie was just fun and with so many ridiculous blockbusters that are so dark and grim lately this was just what was needed. It reminded me of the great blockbuster movies of the past.

I loved this one comment from the a poster on Nikkifinke.com

"If someone ever told me 8 years ago that Captain America and Rocket Raccoon would one day do better than SpiderMan or SuperMan in any market, including comics, I would’ve smacked them for wasting my time with their madness. This is incredible."
