The fact this is up for debate at all proves the point. No one could argue Mansion or Big Thunder is anything but an E and keep a straight face.

I am really not a fan of Big Thunder and skip it on most trips. I find the third act kind of a let down and repetitive. To each their own.

Kali is an E no doubt. But not much tech involved, which is what I was thinking of in my quote.

Everest? Not in my opinion. Could have and should have been though. Dark empty spaces, light leaks, visible structure knock it back. It's very good, but not great. If it had been a Matterhorn on steroids it'd be one of WDWs best.
I'm glad you mentioned the light leaks because some of them are just plain lazy. The exposed steel is visible on the backwards portion and that could easily be covered with one of the tarps from Spaceship Earth.

Again, it should be.

So many things not working and a butchered budget at the 11th hour destroy the intended story line sadly.

When did you last see the laser net that actually helped you bring back a live Dino?

Very good. Lots of fun. Should be awesome.
We've talked about this before. I was there on opening day and the net wasn't there. I've only seen it in your video and based on that it doesn't look all that good. Perhaps with the new digital mapping tech they could make it look better.

sorta makes you feel you wished you weren't an insider so you could just appreciate for what it is instead of recognizing what it could have been

Has anyone found a good review of the Osaka version of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter written by someone who can compare and contrast it and the Orlando version?

I've been looking on the internet ever since it opened and I've never found any video or even a review. I'm in full agreement, someone please find something!!!! Or maybe one of our insiders could chime in if they know anything.

Yeah, lifestylers don't go to Japan. It's kind of a rule - because the trip's not free.

I was kinda hoping someone contributing to a reputable website would go for the opening but there is enough going on in the USA right now. And...you are correct. "Lifestylers/fanbois as defined by Mr. Spirit will not attend unless it is free and unless they can write and post in Japanese, it will not be free.

What are "lifestylers" and why does everyone on this forum seem to be obsessed with them?

Srsly? You've been around long enough to know what a lifestyler is. Lou Mongello is a perfect example - he's the king of lifestylers. Why would someone like Lou need to go to Japan? Everything is so perfect at Walt Disney World! Harry who? He knows not of what you speak!

Lou Mongello is an author who makes his living covering Disney parks, right?
Is the "problem" that he doesn't cover non-Disney parks?

No, the problem is that he's a shill for the parks without acknowledging such. He doesn't "cover" them, he actively promotes them but while still claiming some veneer of journalistic independence, despite being granted special treatment and access by the Mouse. If a Wall Street journalist "covered" a stock the way Mongello "covers" Disney, he'd go to jail.

ETA: the fact he doesn't acknowledge (let alone cover) non-Disney parks just makes him look silly.

Japan is a super expensive 13 hour flight. I honestly don't think many can afford to go.
