The Spirited Back Nine ...

Even with the never ending magic band sales pitch last year, it was still decent and NPH was fun to watch. Robin and Tebow were just boring. Genital Clark Productions gets a big fat F for the report card from me.
I'm suddenly craving some torture.. is the parade on youtube yet?

It's nothing but a blunt force sales pitch with a dash of so called "entertainment" sprinkled on top.

I remember when Disney was sooo much more media savvy than they are today. When, as an entertainment company, Disney was generally entertaining. Now they are a couple of solid films in a sea of insipid ****.
well.. I still think their lowest point was making an announcement of an announcement of the reveal of the opening of the seven dwarf mine train.

I mean.. who the hell makes a TV special announcement of an announcement of a soon to be open thing that is not yet open?

The same way people who have never experienced SGE or MM+ say they are the worst things of all time :p
I have experienced MM+ and it was failing quite a few times.
And I am forced to use it again next february and probably on september.
So well see how it goes.

You are generalizing and not allowing for injury and/or illness. Even if you were very active, you get old and stuff happens.
I was being very specific. Taking care of yourself includes precluding injury and illness but we're all going to die in the end anyway. The point is to make sure your quality of life is always top notch. Physical and mental fitness can not be taken for granted. It takes a lot of hard work. Jack LaLanne was still performing his daily physical workouts up until the day of his death at the age of 96. I think we should all strive for better health if for no other reason than we won't become a burden to our families.

I have to agree with this. We went to cosmic rays because almost all the eateries were closed in WDW. And all sitdown restaurants had insane lines.
The burgers are worse than Mcdonalds(did I mention they are also like 4X times more expensive than McDonalds?).

I'm guessing the quick service burgers at all the American Disney parks are not up to par. I've never seen positive reviews for Disney burgers at either resort.

I like the unplugged style versions of the Frozen songs for the X-Mas special. Very nice, but Rob M. starting the Disney parade off with a group selfie at DL? #Lame. It makes Disney look like a dorky parent trying to be cool.
No, it just makes them look like they're copying Ellen and the Oscars from earlier in the year.

I really don't know how Disney is unable to produce an edible burger on either coast!, Burgers are simply not that hard (except for Disney's which require tungsten carbide tools to cut).

You would think burgers would be the easiest food to make at Disney. I can make better burgers. They're just not seasoned well. And sometimes the meat is tough.

I'm not sure if you only mean counter service burgers, but MK's Plaza Restaurant makes a great burger. The soda on the other hand is awful. I guess they connect the fountain to the terrible FL water, but this is the only place where it can be tasted. Good thing they have great milkshakes!

WDW had way too many restaurants that were selling nothing more than variations of the same menu items so they closed those redundant eateries. I think folks have realized that when you have giant turkey legs, churros and fresh fruit available at the carts, the restaurants are not needed for an epicurean experience. Sitting down while eating is over rated.

Some people complain about the long wait in the standby queues but if you buy some cart food and eat it in the queue you're killing two birds with one stone and maximizing your time in the parks.

Where can you get noodles when Tomorrowland Terrace is closed (which is always, of course)? Where can you get loaded fries when Golden Oak is closed? Most of the closed/rarely open places have/had food choices you couldn't get anywhere else in the park.

I'm OK with the water itself. It's more the people (kids) sticking their mouth on the nozzle. History got it wrong. They blamed rats for spreading the bubonic plague. It was really children;). Trust me, mine bring all kinds of stuff home.

Anyone worried about fountain water should just get a cup of iced water from any quick service counter. No need to buy an expensive bottle when you can hydrate yourself any time you like for free.

I don't eat burgers much at Disney, as there are so many other great options to try. I did enjoy the battered, deep-fried burger at Cookes of Dublin at DTD, however, though it's unlikely I'd try that again, as I'm not a young man, and eating those kinds of burgers strikes me as tempting Fate.

I have a feeling that some of the most vocal complainers about Disney's dining policy have either never actually used an ADR or just don't know how restaurants work other than "me hungry, me see empty table, how dare you not do as I say??"

There's certainly a lot of misunderstanding around about how reservations work, but there are also plenty of 'complainers' who have used ADRs and DDP many times, and have a detailed knowledge of exactly how restaurants work, especially at WDW.
