The Spirited Back Nine ...

I saw that place on TV. I wouldn't ever eat there lol.
That would be a place that I am not adventerous enough to try out either. :joyfull:
Me either. It was pretty expensive too. The stuff they fed you had some exotic ingredients too so you have to be an adventurous eater. Nothing crazy or unsafe, but items and combinations you don't always find. I think it would be too disorienting for me. They do have a limit on cocktails with dinner. I think because it is hard enough to navigate the room being guided by your server sober. Also because they want to minimize trips to the restroom:cool:. Yes, I asked and there are lights in the restrooms at least;)

Entirely different production. They wanted to do something "different".... This was produced by **** Clark Productions.

Last year's parade won an Emmy.
Even with the never ending magic band sales pitch last year, it was still decent and NPH was fun to watch. Robin and Tebow were just boring. Genital Clark Productions gets a big fat F for the report card from me.

It was painfully different. Some segments were over produced, some dreadfully under. I couldn't tell though, are they pushing frozen still? I mean what more do they have to push right now? The ride is years off, I don't know about whatever sequel they're dreaming up... Why insist on it taking over the holiday? Saw mickey once.... remember this was all started by a.... set of sisters and one is a hermit that controls the weather.

They aren't pushing frozen in terms to promote or sell it, they are banking on frozen so more people will watch the special.

I hate to say it, but they were giving the people what they want. Frozen is still huge. I don't think they blanketed the parade in Frozen to promote the movie or merchandise sales, but rather the other way around.

I didn't catch the whole parade, but it seemed a little off. Is it possible I actually missed Nick Cannon? Never thought that could happen. Aulani looked really nice. Hawaii isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think Christmas, but I didn't mind seeing shots from there.

I'm thinking next year's parade is going to be filled with stuff from a galaxy far, far away...too bad it won't be new Star Wars theme park rides:cool:

I know this will not be a popular stance, but, I honestly do not see anything even remotely appetizing about the "Animal Fries". Seriously, it looks like someone threw up on a tray. I think it's the sauce. :grumpy: This is perhaps the last thing anyone sees just moments before suffering that massive coronary. :hungover:

Skip the spread and you have a real treat. Double Double + plain + grilled onions + cheese fries + grilled onions = magic.

It's nothing but a blunt force sales pitch with a dash of so called "entertainment" sprinkled on top.

I remember when Disney was sooo much more media savvy than they are today. When, as an entertainment company, Disney was generally entertaining. Now they are a couple of solid films in a sea of insipid ****.
I think that the old style with an actual parade made families want to visit WDW and DL. You know, the ones where you would actually see Mickey Mouse for more than 10 seconds. They made it look fun to be in the parks. Now I dont know if they want me to buy a Trey Songz CD or go to Aulani. o_O

Well… This being Hollywood and all, I believe the critics and the ratings will have more of an impact than our opinion. However I have only seen one positive review and that's of a Disney obsessed friend in Philadelphia…

We had the DDP once. It was too much food. Way too much and I'm a big eater (especially on vacation). I can't imagine doing the deluxe version.
You sort of described my first trip to WDW ever going to to WDW in terms of having too much food, but the experience I had would be compared to deluxe dining plan.

While the Disney Dining Plan didn't exist for my first ever trip to WDW, A Party member won a free trip to WDW from a drawing that had a lot of free stuff included 3 free table service meals a day for 5 days and 4 nights. It had other great free stuff at the time including free hotel stay at a Disney Deluxe Hotel and free theme park admission. The trip was won in the early 1990's.

The 3 table service meals a day I experienced basically equaled the deluxe dining plan. You were allowed to go to signature Restaurants even. The Free meals for launch and Dinner included each party member having an Appetizer, Entree, and dessert.

It was much more food than I was accustom to eating and it took way amount of time from doing theme park attractions despite the fact WDW only had 3 theme parks in the early 1990's. The 5 days was actually 3 full days due to the free airfare flight wasn't non stop.

My party basically rushed to each attraction as a result the amount of table service meals a day.

Yes… Last year's won an Emmy. A mutual friend of mine in Martin's was one of the recipients…
Wow. Based on what I have read about recent "parades" I was surprised. However I am not one to really judge since the last Disney Christmas show I saw had to be decades ago. In fairness I have zero artistic talent, period, and have not seen an Emmy or any other award show of any kind in several decades I am sure. I am just one who enjoys good entertainment which is harder to find these days in any format for my tastes. I saw one movie this year in a theater and watched probably three DVD movies. I did see a few movies on DCL this year though.

No, it's not. In both cases, something is being judged before being experienced. Look at Disney? What? When someone says they're going to Disney, they're not going to look at it, they're going to experience the parks. So I'll ask again. If someone refused to go to Disney because it "looked" kiddy or "appeared" boring, would you tell them to go and see for themselves or would you discourage them more?

With all the cracks made in this thread about the obese, it's hilarious that this heap of heart attack fries is being defended. Oh, and the cheesesteak discussions too

P.S. not saying I wouldn't try them, at least once ;)
