The Osborne lights will be missed next year and probably longer. They are a marvelous example of one man's (Jennings Osborne) obsession with Christmas lights. I hope I don't have to remind anyone that Ozzy and Sharon Osborne have never had anything to do with these lights.

Employees and their families were directly threatened, and in context with the other emails (which included statements that said if you live near a theater, you shouldn't stay home, and specifically invoked 9/11) was a lot more than "we'll share your personal info".

Not you in particular, but if it wasn't so scary I'd find it funny that other folks keep dismissing any threat like it was ludicrous - because no foreign entity has ever had individuals in the US who were here to commit violent acts...

It's sooooo easy for folks sitting safe at home in front of their computers to say "no big deal, man up!" but it would be far, far different if they were employees at Sony and were getting these kinds of threats in their email. Folks talk all big because, Internet, but it's BS - and they know it. Particularly since, although I haven't seen it mentioned lately, when all this was going on independent security experts were sure that someone had to actually have been on-site to perpetrate this.

Again, this Monday-Morning Quarterbacking by some folks is simply machismo and completely and utterly BS - akin to folks who say they would suddenly become Superman and would have taken down the kid at the Dark Knight screening, when in truth they would have been laying on the floor frozen and piddling in their short pants.
To me it sounds like hackers sending a generic e-mail to company employees rather than a specific threat. I would probably take it a little more serious than the chain e-mails that say I'm going to die if it don't forward the e-mail to 7 people, but without a specific threat I don't think the employees have much to worry about. If I got a personalized e-mail with a specific threat to me and my family containing actual personal information about me that's different, but a generic spamming of the company e-mail server doesn't seem like a credible threat. I'm sure the CEO and high level executives have already ramped up personal physical security in case of an attack.

It's not about machismo or manning up. I remember going to a Flyers/Rangers pre-season hockey game about a week after 9/11. It was the Flyers first home game after the attacks. People were still very much afraid of further attacks including sports arenas. I debated skipping the game, but ultimately decided to go. A lot of people thought it was a pretty dumb idea, but I went anyway. Security was tight and the atmosphere was definitely subdued. Between the 2nd and 3rd periods President Bush began his address to Congress laying out the ultimatum to the Taliban and laying the groundwork for the invasion of Afghanistan. They showed it on the big board during the intermission. When the players came out to start the 3rd period they turned the speech off and the crowd went nuts booing. It was quickly turned back on. After the speech ended the teams decided that the game wasn't that important so they lined up at center ice, shook hands and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. It was a pretty emotional night and definitely not your typical pre-season hockey game. I didn't choose to go to be macho (I was really kinda nervous and pretty happy to see the heavy security getting into the building). I didn't want to not go out of fear because that's exactly what the terrorists wanted.

I understand what you are saying about people sitting safe at home on the Internet talking big, but it is possible that some of these people would feel the same way even if they worked for Sony. In this case the movie is a goofy comedy instead of a pre-season hockey game, but I'm sure some people would go to see it if Sony released it just to show they won't let some terrorists control their lives. It may seem stupid, but everyone deals with things in their own way.

I remember his interview before he died… Well spoken guy. I'm very interested in seeing the movie
Same here, even though I'm no Bradley cooper fan and I really think this is what Chris Pratt absolutely should have been cast in.

The man did a lot for veterans when he finally left military service. I'd imagine his stories are quite intriguing and I'm sure there are some that people will not like at all.

Well from what I've seen of the previews, Clint Eastwood did something amazing with this…

He's still around? I thought he went away after it came out that he got punched out by Navy seal in a bar…

Be careful what you say - he is a sexual tyrannosaurus.

Just like any other 'true story war movie', the hollywood version will probly be 90% hyped up and 10% truth. Kyle founded 'Craft', the paramilitary organization similar to Black Water. The motto was, “Violence does solve problems, despite what your momma told ya…" They were some pretty bad-a$$ 's and definitely into some high level shiza. His story is extremely deep and It will be interesting to see if any of that makes it into the movie. Hope it does and we dont just get another story of American bravada and soldiers partying in their barracks with mouth wash.

I think you mean say FAREWELL to the Osborne lights, Once WDW discontinues something it NEVER comes back, I was fortunate in being able to see them for the last time this year.

Unfortunately the Osborne lights will join 'Lights of Winter' in the never to be seen again column. However it WILL be interesting to see what excuse WDW has for not running them elsewhere after SoA is demo'ed

Except for the Orange Bird, but the fanbois needed to beg really hard for that one...
